Oligio X Differences,
What’s Different from Ulthera?

“
What’s the difference between Oligio and Oligio X?
If you look online, there’s also Ulthera, Thermage, and...
It’s so confusing.”
In fact, people who worry about this are very wise.
These days, there are so many lifting procedure names and so many devices that if you choose even slightly wrong, you can end up spending money and only getting half the result.
From my perspective, after more than 10 years of performing lifting procedures, even the same type of lifting can produce completely different results depending on which device is used and how the procedure is performed.
Today, I’ll explain in detail what makes Oligio X different, who it is suitable for, and what kind of results it can provide.

Oligio X Difference
Different principle from Ulthera

All lifting devices aim to make the face firmer, but the type of energy they use and the depth they affect are different.
First, Ulthera (Ultherapy) stimulates the SMAS layer just above the muscles using ultrasound (HIFU).
In simple terms, it contracts the fascia deep inside the face and pulls from the inside out.
Because of this, the effect is strong, but the pain during the procedure tends to be felt more deeply.

On the other hand, Oligio uses radiofrequency (RF) energy to gently warm the dermal layer inside the skin and promote collagen regeneration.
It helps improve skin texture and reduce fine lines.
And the latest version, Oligio X, keeps the strengths of the original Oligio while advancing it further.
The key is the Dual Mode (G/X mode) function.

G mode stimulates the deep dermal layer,
and X mode stimulates the shallow layer, allowing precise treatment by area.
For example, the cheeks and jawline can be treated more deeply (G mode), while the eye area and mouth area can be adjusted more gently (X mode).
It also uses Contact Cooling to keep the skin surface cool and protected while sufficiently stimulating the inside, reducing pain and improving safety.
In other words, Ulthera is a “deep lifting” treatment that pulls the fascia layer,
while Oligio X is a “texture lifting” treatment that improves both skin texture and elasticity.
Oligio X Difference
Pain, treatment experience, and suitability by skin type

The question people ask most often before getting lifting for the first time is, “Does it hurt?”
Ulthera tends to be quite painful because the ultrasound energy reaches the muscle layer, and in some cases, sedation anesthesia is used.
On the other hand, Oligio X can be performed with only topical anesthetic cream.
During the procedure, you may feel warmth deep in the skin,

but thanks to Oligio X’s cooling system, the surface stays cool, so most people say it is “better than expected.”
In particular, the newly improved handpiece design allows precise treatment even on curved areas such as around the eyes, beside the nose, and around the mouth.
Because of this, the results feel much more natural, and the whole face feels smoothly tightened.
For people with thin and sensitive skin, Oligio X is more suitable than Ulthera,
whereas for people with more severe jawline sagging, the two treatments are sometimes combined.
Ultimately, what matters is not the device itself, but the practitioner’s skill and the settings tailored to the skin.
That is because even the same device can produce different results depending on how it is used.

Results, duration, and aftercare

Lifting results usually begin to appear gradually 2 to 3 weeks after the procedure rather than immediately.
That is because time is needed for new collagen to form.
The original Oligio typically lasts about 6 months,
but Oligio X stimulates both the deep and shallow layers at the same time, so the effect is felt more quickly and lasts longer.
Skin texture often becomes smoother, and pore-refining effects may also appear.
However, not everyone feels the changes at the same pace.
There are differences depending on age, skin thickness, and lifestyle, so aftercare is very important.
After the procedure, be sure to protect your skin from UV rays and provide enough moisture so that it does not become dry.
Also, repeating lifting treatments every 6 months strengthens collagen’s elasticity-maintaining power.
I’ve talked about the differences between Oligio X and Ulthera.
Because the two lifting treatments are based on different principles, depending on your skin condition, choosing one or combining them can produce even better synergy.
That is because Ulthera plays a role in lifting the deep layers, while Oligio X helps refine skin texture and elasticity.
In the end, what matters is not the device itself, but how, for whom, and at what depth the device is used.
When the skin is analyzed in detail and the procedure is customized for the individual, that is when natural and long-lasting lifting is achieved.
We will be with you through every step of the process so that your skin can shine with renewed confidence.
