DermaV Laser,
How Is Treatment for Facial Redness Performed?

“My face keeps turning red.
Maybe it’s because of temperature changes,
but it suddenly flushes whenever I get nervous,
and makeup doesn’t cover it either.”
Many people struggle with a face that keeps flushing and turning red even with just a little heat.
It’s hard to simply brush off as “your skin is just sensitive,” because the stress caused by a red face can be quite significant.
It may not be covered by makeup, and going out or meeting people can start to feel burdensome.
One of the treatments I most often recommend in cases like this is DermaV Laser.
For vascular treatment, DermaV and Excel V are commonly used.
Today, among these, I’ll explain in detail DermaV Laser, which can be performed relatively safely even for people with sensitive skin, from the principles behind it to post-treatment care.
DermaV Laser,
How Is Treatment for Facial Redness Performed?
The Principles of DermaV Laser

DermaV Laser is a vascular-specific laser developed by Lutronic.
This device uses two wavelengths, 532nm and 1064nm, to precisely target blood vessels inside the skin.
The 532nm wavelength acts on superficial vessels near the skin surface, while the 1064nm wavelength acts on larger vessels deeper in the skin, helping constricted dilated vessels.
In other words, it is a treatment device that can address both superficial redness and deeper facial flushing at the same time.
The core technology of DermaV Laser is called Intelli-Pulse.
Instead of delivering energy all at once with high intensity, it divides the energy into multiple pulses to minimize skin damage while acting selectively on blood vessels.
Because of this, there is less heat sensation and pain during the procedure, and recovery is quicker.

Even people with sensitive or thin skin can generally receive it relatively safely,
but if there is active inflammation from atopic dermatitis or seborrheic dermatitis, it is better to postpone the procedure.
It may be possible when the skin is in a stable condition, but during active inflammation it can become irritating.
It is also used as an adjunct treatment to reduce the red marks left after acne has calmed down (post-inflammatory erythema), rather than for treating inflammatory acne itself.
When combined with Rejuran or other regenerative treatments, the skin-calming and recovery effects can work synergistically, helping improve overall skin tone as well.

Treatment Process and Effects

A DermaV Laser treatment usually takes about 10 to 15 minutes, and the wavelength and intensity must be adjusted carefully according to the depth and thickness of the blood vessels.
Before treatment, the distribution of blood vessels is checked with diagnostic equipment, and the intensity is set accordingly.
During the procedure, there may be a slight stinging sensation, but for most people it is tolerable, and any redness subsides within a few hours.
Because DermaV Laser is a treatment that gradually stabilizes blood vessels, it is recommended to repeat it about 3 to 5 times at 2- to 4-week intervals.
With repeated sessions, the blood vessels gradually constrict, facial redness improves, and the skin tone becomes more even.

Post-Treatment Care

After treatment, avoiding heat stimulation is the most important thing.
For about 2 to 3 days, please avoid saunas, intense exercise, and hot compresses, and be sure to moisturize well and use sunscreen thoroughly.
Makeup is possible starting the next day, but it is best to use products with low irritation.
Treatment for facial redness is not completed by the procedure alone.
Alcohol, spicy food, sudden temperature changes, and stress
These factors can cause blood vessels to dilate again.
To prevent the blood vessels stabilized by treatment from being irritated again, lifestyle management and consistent maintenance treatment are necessary.

For most people, after 4 to 6 weeks following treatment, the redness in the face improves, and the skin texture feels much more even.
If Rejuran or micro-regenerative treatments are combined, additional benefits such as improved skin calming and elasticity can be expected.
DermaV Laser is a treatment that stabilizes dilated blood vessels, which are the underlying cause of facial redness.
When performed under an accurate diagnosis and tailored to an individual’s skin condition, it can produce safe and satisfying results.
It is best to postpone treatment during periods of active inflammation and proceed when the skin is stable.
With consistent treatment and lifestyle management, a red face can gradually calm down and recover into clearer skin.
For those whose confidence has dropped because of facial redness, this is a treatment that helps them smile again with a brighter face — that is DermaV Laser.
