A woman in her 30s visited us because she was concerned about under-eye hollowness and her facial line.

She had previously received laser lifting at another clinic to improve her facial line, but it did not produce significant results.

So we proceeded with a full-face filler treatment that can add overall volume to the face and help create balance.

Facial Condition Before the Procedure

Let’s take a look at her face before the procedure.

• A hollow, tired-looking appearance due to insufficient volume from the under-eyes to the front cheeks

• Good lip volume, but the horizontal length is short

• Hollow side cheeks make the cheekbones stand out, and the facial line does not look smooth

There were three main points as described above.

In this patient, the reason her face looked saggy was not a skin elasticity issue, but a lack of volume itself.

That is why she did not see any effect when she previously received laser lifting.

Treatment Plan

Laser lifting can help improve skin elasticity, but it has limitations when, as in this case, the problem is a lack of volume itself.

As volume decreases, the under-eyes become hollow and may look like dark circles, the side cheeks become sunken so the cheekbones appear more prominent, and the face overall can look saggy.

In cases like this, filling in the missing volume is the fundamental solution.

So we recommended a full-face filler procedure to improve the facial line while also adding vitality.

The treatment areas were planned as follows.

• Under-eyes ~ front cheeks: Add volume to the hollow-looking area to help reduce the appearance of dark circles and improve the midface

• Lips: Increase the horizontal length to improve overall facial balance

• Side cheeks: Fill in the sunken area to reduce the prominence of the cheekbones and soften the facial line

• Chin: Refine the blunt chin line for a lifting effect

Changes After the Procedure

Let’s look at the changes after the procedure.

• Improved volume from the under-eyes to the front cheeks: The hollow under-eye area was filled, helping to reduce the appearance of dark circles and creating the effect of a shorter midface

• Increased horizontal lip length: The lips, which looked short, naturally appeared wider, improving overall facial balance

• Improved side-cheek hollowness: The overall facial line became smoother, and the cheekbones that had appeared more prominent were less emphasized

• Chin line refinement: The blunt chin tip became more defined and slender, creating a natural lifting effect

Overall, the facial line became smoother and more vibrant, resulting in a more youthful appearance as well.

As people age, facial fat decreases and the facial structure becomes more pronounced due to the lack of volume. Full-face filler is especially effective for faces lacking volume.
