Case of Improving Nasolabial Folds and Sagging Deep Cheeks

"I’m concerned about my nasolabial folds
and sagging deep cheeks"
When you pass your 30s, the cheeks start to sag, making the nasolabial folds more noticeable, and sagging deep cheeks can also appear.
The case we’re introducing today is also that of a woman in her mid-30s who was bothered by a particularly deep nasolabial fold on one side and sagging deep cheeks.
She had been receiving other lifting procedures regularly, but said this was her first time trying Onda Lifting.
Let’s take a look at how the areas of concern were addressed.

Condition Before the Procedure

Looking at the face before the procedure, the nasolabial fold on the right side was deeper than the left, and the deep cheek area had also slightly dropped downward.
From the mid-30s onward, as skin elasticity declines, cheek volume begins to sag downward.
At this time, as the fat volume itself shifts downward, the nasolabial folds become deeper and the deep cheeks appear more prominent.
This patient in particular had left-right asymmetry with a more severe nasolabial fold on the right side, so balancing both sides during treatment was also an important point.

Treatment Plan
To improve the overall line and elasticity, we planned a course of three cumulative Onda Lifting sessions at one-month intervals.
Onda Lifting is a procedure that delivers radiofrequency energy deep into the skin to induce collagen regeneration and lift sagging tissue.
In addition, because it can also deliver energy to the fat layer, it helps refine facial contours.
In cases where the fat layer has sagged, such as in the nasolabial fold and deep cheek area, simply pulling on the skin is not enough.
Since an approach that tightens skin elasticity while organizing the fat is more effective, we determined that Onda Lifting was suitable for this patient.

Changes After the Procedure
These are photos after one Onda Lifting session.

The deep nasolabial fold on the right side had noticeably become shallower, and as the deep cheek area moved upward, the jawline looked much more refined.
The left-right asymmetry in the nasolabial folds also improved, creating a more balanced impression, and what stands out most is that the natural volume was maintained without hollow cheeks.
Even with just one session, immediate improvement was observed, and the patient was very satisfied.
In particular, she said, "I’m more satisfied than with the ultrasound lifting I had before," and liked that the nasolabial folds and deep cheeks improved without hollow cheeks.
Onda Lifting can show results even after one session, but because the effects build as collagen regeneration accumulates, we recommended a cumulative treatment course of at least three sessions at one-month intervals.
This patient was concerned about hollow cheeks because she had little facial volume. If she later feels that more facial volume is needed, it would be good to supplement with filler or Juvelook Volume.
Today, we looked at a case of improving sagging nasolabial folds and deep cheeks with Onda Lifting near Hongik Univ. Station.

We hope this case helps those who were curious about how effective Onda Lifting can be.
