A Case of Improving a Round Jawline with the Tentriple Lift at Sinchon

“ I wish my round face could just look a little slimmer. ”

Among people with a round facial contour, many have this concern.

Their face may not actually be overweight, but because the jawline is not well defined, the face looks broader, and it can appear even rounder in photos.

When people worry about this, they often first think of fat removal.

However, even if the face shape is round, if there is not much subcutaneous fat and skin elasticity is still maintained, approaching it with lifting rather than fat reduction may be more appropriate.

In this patient’s case, skin elasticity was fine, but because the face shape was round and the volume in the cheek area had shifted downward, the jawline looked buried.

If fat is reduced in a case like this, where subcutaneous fat is not excessive, the cheek volume may decrease and the cheekbones may stand out more instead.

Rather than reducing volume, the key is to lift the volume that has shifted downward.

This patient had previously received lifting procedures such as Shurink and VRO at another clinic.

The effects were not absent, but with the settings she received, the duration of effect felt short, and she said she was not satisfied because many sessions were needed before results became noticeable.

Procedures like Shurink and VRO are also effective for improving skin elasticity,

but

for a round face shape like this patient’s, where cheek volume has shifted downward, the lifting effect felt after a single treatment may seem weaker than expected.

So I recommended the Tentriple Lift to this patient.

What is the Tentriple Lift?

Sinchon Lifting

Tentriple is a lifting device based on high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU).

While conventional HIFU devices create one ultrasound line per shot, Tentriple delivers three lines simultaneously with each shot.

In simple terms, even if the same number of shots is used, it means three times as many thermal coagulation points are created inside the skin.

Because the energy density is high, a lifting effect can be felt immediately after the procedure, and then over the next 1 to 2 months, collagen regeneration progresses and the effect increases further.

Also, since it does not damage the skin surface and delivers energy only to the target layer, downtime is short and return to daily life is relatively quick.

Looking at the before-and-after comparison again, the photo after the procedure on the right shows the following changes.

1. The jawline became clearer, making the face look slimmer
2. As the cheek area lifted, the impression of a broad lower face was reduced
3. Shadows in the nasolabial area were also reduced

In particular, in the first point, the face did not become thinner because fat was removed; rather, the jawline became visible because the volume that had shifted downward was lifted.

Because the volume itself did not decrease, the cheekbones did not look more prominent, while still giving a natural impression of a slimmer face.

She felt an immediate lifting sensation right after the procedure, and one month later she said the elasticity still felt maintained, which made her satisfied.

Compared with the Shurink and VRO treatments she had received before, she said the duration she personally felt was longer, so her satisfaction was greater.
