How Can You Check Whether It’s Right for My Skin?

Our clinic’s Oligio X device
“Does Oligio really work?
The reviews are all different.”
When you look into lifting procedures, you often come across the name Oligio.
But when you read reviews, you’ll see both people saying it was great and people saying it wasn’t as effective as they expected, so it makes you wonder whether you should get it.
The reason the results vary even with the same device is that Oligio is not a treatment that suits every skin condition equally well.
So it’s important to first see whether your skin condition is a good match for Oligio.
Today, I’ll explain how Oligio works and what you should check to see whether it suits your skin.

How Can You Check Whether It’s Right for My Skin?

What kind of lifting is Oligio?
Oligio is a lifting procedure that uses radiofrequency energy.
It works by delivering heat into the skin to stimulate collagen. The principle itself is similar to other radiofrequency lifting devices such as Thermage.

To explain how the effect appears a little more clearly, when radiofrequency heat reaches the skin, two things happen in sequence.
First, the existing collagen fibers are heated and contract.
This is a change you can feel right after the procedure, which is why the skin can immediately feel a little tighter.
The next part is more important.
This heat stimulus becomes a signal that tells the skin cells to start producing new collagen.
Oligio that induces collagen production
This process does not appear immediately and gradually progresses over 2 to 3 months. That is why the effects of Oligio become clearer “a few months later” rather than “right after the procedure.”
That’s the principle, but the problem is that these two processes do not occur equally well in every skin type.
The response differs depending on your skin condition, so checking whether it is “right for me” before the procedure is essential.

Check whether it suits your skin like this
It’s hard to check everything, but you can get a rough idea of whether it suits your skin by looking at just two main things.
The first is the skin’s elasticity.
Oligio works by stimulating existing collagen to produce results.
So the more noticeable the loss of elasticity in the skin, the more clearly you can feel the changes from collagen regeneration.
The right time is when the skin starts to sag
The time when you start to think, “Has my skin begun to sag a little?” is when Oligio’s effects are easiest to notice.
On the other hand, for skin with almost no loss of elasticity, such as in the early 20s, collagen stimulation still occurs within the tissue, but the visible “lifting” change may feel relatively small.
Since there is not much to improve, the effect of the procedure is less noticeable.
There is also the opposite case.
If the sagging is severe, we recommend combining treatments
If sagging has already progressed deeply, Oligio alone has its limits.
In that case, combining it with thread lifting or another lifting method may be a more suitable approach.
In other words, it is best when the loss of elasticity has started but is not severe.

Skin thickness
The second thing to look at is skin thickness.
Radiofrequency energy acts on the dermis, and if the skin is thin, the dermis may also be thin.
In particular, if the dermis has become thinner due to aging, you may see better results with Oligio.
That doesn’t mean Oligio has no effect for people with thicker dermis, though.
Oligio X
However, in such cases, it may be necessary to increase the energy so the dermis can be warmed sufficiently, or to focus on Oligio X’s X mode to see results.
Today, I explained what kind of skin is suitable for Sinchon Oligio lifting.
With Oligio, the same device can produce different results depending on skin elasticity and skin thickness.
Although I explained it based on two important points, in reality, several other skin conditions are also considered together.
Therefore, rather than deciding based only on reviews, please start with a consultation to see whether it is appropriate for your skin.
