A Case of Correcting a Hump Nose with Thread Lifting

"I tried nose filler, but it wasn’t great...
Would HiCo be okay?"
Many people consult about fillers or HiCo because they hesitate to undergo nose surgery but still want to refine the nose line.
Among the two procedures, it seems many people try filler first.
However, after actually getting filler, some people return because they experienced inflammation or were unhappy with the shape.
For such people, HiCo, which has fewer side effects than filler and can help refine the nose line, may be a suitable option.
Today, we are looking at the case of a woman in her 30s who was dissatisfied after a previous nose filler procedure and later corrected her hump nose with HiCo after looking for another option.
Let’s take a look at how HiCo can refine the nose line.
Hongdae HiCo
Before the Procedure
Let’s first look at her nose before the procedure.

From the side, her nasal bridge itself was not low.
However, she said she disliked the line because there was a hump in the middle of her nose, creating a bulging break from the side.
She wanted to soften the angular impression caused by the hump nose.
In other words, in her case, smoothing the nose line was more important than raising the bridge.

Procedure Plan
This patient had previously received nose filler at another clinic.
She said the inflammatory reaction at the time was severe and the shape was not satisfactory, so she did not want filler.
Nose filler is a simple procedure with immediate effects, but the nose has abundant blood flow and dense tissue, so the response to filler can appear more sensitively than in other areas.
In particular, people who have experienced inflammation before often consider a different approach rather than repeating the same method.

So, HiCo was recommended for her.
HiCo thread lifting is a procedure in which dissolvable threads are inserted inside the nose to define the nose line.
Rather than filling volume like filler, the threads support the nasal tissue and can smooth out the line around the hump.
Therefore, the focus was on smoothly correcting the nose line around the hump with HiCo,
and because she was anxious about filler, we planned to supplement it with only a very small amount of filler.

Changes After the Procedure
Let’s look at the changes after the procedure through photos.

The hump area was previously smoothed out, and the nose line became closer to a natural straight line.
The line was neatly improved without making the entire nose look thicker.
Because the line itself was defined with threads rather than masking the hump by adding volume with filler, the nose could become smoother without looking thicker.
Today, we showed a case of correcting a hump nose with Hongdae HiCo.

Correcting a hump nose is not something that can only be solved with filler or surgery.
When the bridge height is sufficient and only the line is the problem, a natural result can be achieved simply by defining the line with HiCo.
We recommend consulting directly to see which method is right for your own nose condition.
