what causes yellow teeth?

Many people are unable to smile openly in front of others before an important occasion and habitually cover their mouths.

Their concern is darkened, discolored teeth.

Even with diligent daily brushing and careful maintenance, yellow teeth can be difficult to resolve. The causes can generally be viewed from two perspectives.

The first is a habit of frequently consuming foods or beverages that stain easily.

Darkly pigmented drinks and foods that we commonly enjoy, such as coffee, tea, and wine, can cause staining as pigments seep into the tiny gaps on the tooth surface.

When these external factors are repeated, the teeth may gradually appear more yellow.

The second is the gradual wear of enamel, the transparent outer layer of the teeth, over time.

As the enamel becomes thinner, an internal change occurs in which the yellowish dentin beneath it becomes relatively more noticeable.

Discoloration caused by pigment buildup and the passage of time can be somewhat difficult to fundamentally restore to a clear, translucent appearance with ordinary whitening toothpaste, scaling, or teeth whitening alone.

In particular, if the teeth are slightly crooked or irregular in shape, we recommend veneers as an aesthetic solution that can carefully correct both color and shape at the same time.

The art of minimal preparation without temporary teeth

The time of busy modern individuals, as well as international students and business professionals whose schedules can be difficult to coordinate, is especially valuable.

A key focus of our practice is that a temporary-tooth stage is not essential during the treatment process.

This is because we use a no-preparation or minimal-preparation technique, either barely touching the natural teeth or finely adjusting only the outer surface in increments as small as 0.01 mm when necessary.

Because the veneers are precisely and meticulously designed within the hard outer enamel, the process is planned with the aim of reducing the burden of sensitivity or pain.

Because there is no reduction, or only an extremely small amount, there is no need to endure a stage of wearing temporary teeth for one or two weeks while anxiously waiting.

Through our in-house high-performance digital dental laboratory system, we carefully handle everything from precise 3D scanning and customized restoration fabrication to final placement.

Can one-day veneers really be completed in a single day?

They can be, when the conditions are suitable.

However, the same approach does not apply to everyone.

One-day veneers are a method in which diagnosis and planning, fabrication, and placement are conducted on a concentrated schedule within one day.

After checking the condition of the gums, the bite, any teeth-grinding habits, and the amount of remaining tooth structure, we plan for completion on the same day if the treatment is deemed appropriate.

If the conditions are not suitable, we honestly advise that it is better to divide the treatment into two visits.

This is because long-term use comes before speed.
