� Q: Do you also agree with the saying “Men’s noses”?

� A: I agree with the idea of “men’s noses.”

That’s because for men, a higher nose helps facial features look more distinct, and among the surgeries people commonly undergo, eye surgery and nose surgery are the most common—but many men dislike double eyelids.

For that reason, I think the nose can be considered relatively more important.

� A: The surgical methods for male and female noses are the same.

However, there are characteristics that differ between men and women.

In general, men have tighter skin and stronger muscles than women.

The goal of surgery is also different: men usually aim for a line that is closer to straight, while women aim for a line with a bit more curve.

� A: The septum is not different by gender; it varies depending on each individual.

In general, younger people have a relatively larger septum,

and in older and middle-aged people, the septum is replaced by bone, so there are age-related differences,

but there is not a major difference based on gender.

� A: When choosing an implant, preference may differ more in terms of height than in terms of type or shape.

In general, implants are used a little higher for men and a little lower for women.

� A: We looked at the surgical methods for male and female noses, the septum, and implant preferences.

Lastly, the reason a man’s nose is relatively more important is that, compared to women, there is less preference for double eyelids,

so to make the facial features look more distinct, it is better for the nose to be higher.
