"It’s been a month since I got Oligio,
and I feel like it’s already come back."
"I heard radiofrequency results don’t last long..
Is that true?"
One of the things people who are considering Oligio
most often want to know is
"How long does it last?"
That’s because they want the effect to last
as long as possible.
But even if people receive the same Oligio treatment,
some say it only lasted a month,
while others say it lasted more than 6 months.
You may be wondering why the maintenance period
varies from person to person.
Today, based on actual clinical research results,
we’ll talk about how long Oligio’s effects last,
and why some people say the effects were short-lived.

- What are the characteristics of Oligio lifting?
Oligio maintenance period
Some people say, just one or two months after getting Oligio,
"It seems like it hasn’t improved much."
In fact, this is a misunderstanding caused by not fully understanding
the characteristics of Oligio lifting.
Radiofrequency lifting like Oligio shows its effects in two stages.

The first stage is the immediate contraction stage.
Right after the procedure, the radiofrequency heat
immediately contracts collagen fibers.
It’s like meat shrinking when it is grilled.
Right after the procedure,
when you think, "My skin feels tighter,"
that is exactly this effect.

The second stage is the collagen regeneration stage.
This is the truly important stage.
As the tissue that received thermal damage
heals, new collagen is produced
and the skin becomes firmer.
This process takes time.
Many people mistakenly think after 1 to 2 months
that the effect has disappeared.
In fact, this period is a transitional phase
where the immediate contraction effect has faded somewhat,
but collagen regeneration is still incomplete.
So around 3 months later,
as collagen starts being produced in earnest,
there comes a moment when you think,
"Oh? It seems to be getting better again."
- Oligio maintenance period
Clinical research results followed for 6 months
Some of you may want more reliable evidence
about Oligio’s maintenance period.

Let’s talk based on clinical research data
that followed 20 people for 6 months.
In this study, Oligio radiofrequency was applied once
with 600 shots,
and the effects were tracked for 6 months.

Effect measurement was conducted separately
through physician evaluation and elasticity measurement.
Three dermatology specialists
looked at the photos and evaluated the degree of improvement.
The results were as follows.

4 weeks: 1.05 points (no statistical significance)
12 weeks: 2.3 points (moderate improvement, p<0.05)
24 weeks: 1.87 points (slight to moderate improvement, p<0.05)
There was almost no change at 4 weeks,
the greatest improvement was seen at 12 weeks (3 months),
and the effect was maintained through 24 weeks (6 months).
In addition, actual skin elasticity was measured using a device called an Indentometer.
With this device, the smaller the number,
the more elastic the skin is considered to be.

Before procedure: 1.76 mm
4 weeks: 1.46 mm
12 weeks: 1.38 mm
24 weeks: 1.33 mm
What was impressive is that the skin clearly improved starting at 4 weeks,
and continued to improve through 6 months.
The claim that "the effect was gone after a month or two"
can be understood as the immediate tightened feeling disappearing.
In fact, over time, the skin became firmer.

The photos above show before-and-after comparisons
of the research participants’ faces.
The first column on the left shows the pre-treatment appearance,
and moving to the right shows the appearance at 4 weeks,
12 weeks, and 24 weeks.
What is especially noteworthy is the jawline
and the nasolabial fold area.
At 4 weeks, there was not much visible change,
but from 12 weeks onward, the jawline was clearly more defined
and the nasolabial folds were reduced.
This improvement was also maintained through 24 weeks.
Through this, we can see that Oligio
shows the best results at 12 weeks (3 months)
and is maintained through 24 weeks (6 months).
- Oligio maintenance period
If it was short, check this
As confirmed by the research results above,
the Oligio maintenance period is about 6 months.
If the maintenance period was too short,
please check whether any of the following apply.

Judged after 1 to 2 months
Because of the nature of lifting,
Oligio has a transitional period during the first 1 to 2 months.
The immediate contraction has lessened somewhat,
and collagen regeneration is still incomplete.
In the study as well, at 4 weeks,
doctors evaluated the results as "no change."
The real effect can be properly assessed
3 months after the procedure.

There were not enough shots
In the clinical study, 600 shots were used.
If only 300 to 400 shots were used for the whole face,
the amount may be insufficient.
If enough energy is not delivered,
collagen regeneration may be weak,
and naturally the maintenance period can also become shorter.

The output was too weak
In the study, treatment was performed at an average level of 3 to 4.
If you received enough shots,
and enough time has passed since the procedure,
but the effect is barely visible,
there is a high chance the output was too weak.
Today, we talked about Oligio’s maintenance period.
When Oligio is performed with enough shots
and energy,
it typically lasts about 6 months on average.
The effects may continue beyond that,
but the study only followed patients up to 6 months,
so effects after that can vary depending on the individual.
I hope today’s content was helpful
for those considering Oligio.
Thank you.
