What Is the Difference Between Yeongdeungpo Cellretdm and Re2O Skin Booster?

“Cellretdm seems to be popular these days.
What is the difference between it and Re2O?”
These days, I get a lot of questions about Cellretdm during consultations.
Many people ask how it differs from Re2O and which one they should choose.
It can be confusing because both are called skin boosters, so it is easy to think they are similar procedures.
However, while the basic principle is similar, the results seen on the skin can be different.
So today, I’ll explain what Cellretdm is first, and then make the differences from Re2O easy to understand.

What Is Cellretdm?
To understand Cellretdm, it helps to know a little about skin structure.
Inside our skin is a structure called ECM, or extracellular matrix.
Think of it as a framework that supports components such as collagen and elastin.
When the skin is healthy, this structure is well maintained and helps preserve overall elasticity and density.

As aging or damage progresses, this framework breaks down, and the skin becomes thinner, loses elasticity, and develops fine lines.
Cellretdm is a procedure that helps compensate for this part.
It uses ECM from human-derived acellular dermal matrix (hADM), in which the cells are removed and only the ECM components such as collagen and elastin remain.

This purified ECM is directly injected into the dermis to reinforce the weakened structure.
So rather than simply making the skin feel more hydrated, it is often experienced as making the skin feel firmer and improving pores and fine lines.

How Are Re2O and Cellretdm
Different?
In the case of existing skin boosters like Rejuran, the procedure works by sending signals to the skin to stimulate collagen production.
Because of that, changes are not usually felt immediately after treatment, but improve gradually over time.
On the other hand, Cellretdm and Re2O are similar in that they directly inject skin structural components, that is, ECM.

The practical difference you can feel is in the particle size.
Re2O has particles that are about 100 micrometers, so it is slightly larger, while Cellretdm is made of finer particles at about 75 micrometers.
Why does this matter? Smaller particles tend to spread more evenly within the skin and create less resistance during injection.

So during treatment, Cellretdm has the advantage of causing relatively less pain than Re2O.
You may also be wondering how the effects differ.
Re2O helps support elasticity and volume by reinforcing the structure.
That is why people often feel that facial lines look a bit more defined when the face looks slightly sunken or when the elasticity around the cheeks or cheekbone area has decreased.

By contrast, because Cellretdm has finer particles, it tends to spread evenly throughout the skin and work more broadly.
So rather than focusing only on elasticity, it is often felt as improving the overall skin condition, including skin texture, density, pores, and fine lines.
To summarize
-
If your skin is sensitive and recovery and regeneration are the priority → Rejuran
-
If loss of elasticity or volume is your concern → Re2O
-
If you want overall improvement in skin texture, pores, and density → Cellretdm
You can use these as a simple reference point.

How Many Sessions Are Needed for Results?
I also get many questions about the treatment interval for Cellretdm.
Rather than being a one-time procedure, this treatment is the type whose effects appear cumulatively.
Usually, it is done 3 times at 3- to 4-week intervals, and then maintenance treatments are often done every 3 to 6 months.

Especially up to around the third treatment, keeping the intervals consistent helps the maintenance last longer afterward.
However, this can vary depending on skin condition and regenerative capacity.
So rather than saying it must always be done this way, it is better to adjust the interval and number of sessions according to your current skin condition.
Today, I gave a brief summary of the difference between Yeongdeungpo Cellretdm and Re2O.
At a glance, they may seem like similar skin boosters, but because they approach the skin differently, the direction of their effects also differs somewhat.

So rather than asking which treatment is better, it is best to choose based on which aspect of your skin you need to improve first.
Even with the same procedure, the results you feel can vary depending on what concerns you have, such as regenerative capacity, pores, or fine lines.
Therefore, it is a good idea to decide the direction together through a consultation based on your current skin condition.
