IriJuran Dark Circles
Can it improve under-eye wrinkles?
"If I get IriJuran injections,
will my dark circles really get better?"
When looking into under-eye treatments,
this is the question people ask most often.
I know it makes sense to wonder
whether IriJuran is really designed for the under-eye area,
and whether it actually has much effect on dark circles
or under-eye wrinkles.
So today, I’ll explain honestly
how IriJuran works in the under-eye area,
how much change has been confirmed in studies,
and which under-eye concerns it may suit best.

How does it work under the eyes?
The skin under the eyes
is the thinnest area on the face.
So as we age
and collagen decreases,
changes become noticeable there
faster than in other areas.

Fine lines appear, and as the skin thins,
underlying blood vessels may show through,
making the area look like dark circles.
The key ingredient in IriJuran is PN (polynucleotide),
a high-purity DNA fragment extracted from salmon.
This ingredient stimulates
fibroblast proliferation
and collagen synthesis within the skin.

IriJuran is a product designed
specifically for the under-eye area using this PN ingredient.
Compared with Rejuran Healer, which has a higher viscosity,
IriJuran has its concentration and viscosity adjusted
for the thin skin under the eyes,
so it is designed to spread evenly in the dermis
without clumping or a foreign-body sensation.

What effects have been confirmed in studies?
So then, what changes does IriJuran
actually make in the under-eye area?
There is a clinical study that confirms this,
so let’s take a look together.

This paper studied 42 people ages 25 to 65,
injecting PN into the under-eye area
and following them for up to 6 months.
The treatment was performed twice at 3-week intervals,
and changes in under-eye wrinkles and crow’s feet
were measured numerically using the validated FACE-Q assessment tool.
Below is a photo showing changes in the under-eye area
before treatment and 3 months after.

You can see that fine wrinkles under the eyes were reduced
and the skin texture became smoother.
Pigmentation also improved,
with the dark circles appearing lighter.
The numbers make it even clearer.

The under-eye wrinkle score improved by an average of 6.5 points
at 1 month compared with before treatment,
and improved by up to 9.5 points at 3 months.
The crow’s feet score also improved by 6.8 points at 1 month
and 10.6 points at 3 months.
What stands out here
is that the score improved more at 3 months than at 1 month.

Normally, the effect of a procedure is best right after treatment
and then gradually decreases over time.
The fact that the skin continued improving up to 3 months means
that PN promoted collagen regeneration and tissue remodeling
within the skin over time.
At the 6-month mark,
there was a slight decrease compared with 3 months,
but the results were still maintained at a level
significantly higher than before treatment.

What kind of under-eye concerns is it suitable for?
The clinical results are impressive,
but they do not apply equally to every under-eye concern.
IriJuran may be a good fit for cases such as:
when fine wrinkles under the eyes are starting to appear,
when the skin has become thinner
and dark circles look more noticeable,
or when you feel that the elasticity and texture
of the under-eye skin have generally declined.
The study also shows this point.

The fact that the clearest effect was seen
3 months after the second treatment means
that PN’s regenerative effect appears most strongly
in early to moderate under-eye aging.
On the other hand, if the under-eye area is deeply hollowed
or fat protrusion is pronounced,
IriJuran alone may not be enough.
In that case, it is more realistic
to consider other methods that can restore volume as well.
As confirmed in studies,
IriJuran’s effect on dark circles and under-eye wrinkles
is a regenerative change that becomes clearer over time.
Because this is not a method that immediately fills something in,
but rather an approach that changes the skin environment,
a steady plan is important.
If you’re wondering whether it’s the right option for your under-eye area,
I recommend making a plan through a thorough consultation.
