It can be done on a variety of areas and in different situations, so we tend to receive many inquiries!

What is laser hair removal?

Laser hair removal is a semi-permanent procedure that absorbs laser light into the melanin pigment in the hair,

converts it into thermal energy,

and then destroys the hair follicle to suppress hair growth.

Unlike waxing, which removes currently growing hair by pulling it out from the root,

it differs in that its purpose is semi-permanent hair removal by destroying the hair papilla cells

(the part that produces hair)

themselves.

However, even if it is performed multiple times, it does not mean that 100% of the hair will disappear,

and laser hair removal is intended to reduce the amount of hair and make the hair thinner.

The precautions before and after the procedure, as well as the areas where it can be performed, are as follows.

Areas where the procedure can be performed

1. The upper lip on the face, including the chin and neck areas; generally male hair removal

2. The entire legs

3. Overall body areas such as the abdomen, back, bikini line, and Brazilian area

4. Less visible areas such as the underarms

5. Most other areas are possible after consultation.

Before the procedure

1. The day before the procedure, shave the area so that the hair length is about 1 mm.

2. Before the procedure, avoid waxing or pulling out hair with tweezers.

3. Be careful to prevent the treatment area from being exposed to ultraviolet rays, and use sunscreen.

4. Check your skin condition before the procedure, and if there are any problems, consult the medical staff.

After the procedure

1. After the hair removal procedure, it is recommended to apply sunscreen as much as possible until the next treatment.

2. Please avoid saunas, jjimjilbang, swimming, and similar activities for about 2 to 3 days.

3. Avoid waxing or pulling out hair with tweezers, and any remaining hair after the procedure will naturally shed over 1 to 2 weeks.

4. If the treatment area is large, the skin may become dry, so using a moisturizer is recommended.
