Hello :)
This is the time to talk about various skin concerns from the perspective of Forena Clinic!

Today’s topic is: why does my skin feel dry even though it’s the rainy season and the weather is humid and sticky?
It almost feels like a mystery,,, logically, when the weather is like this in summer,
wouldn’t it be supposed to feel moisturized?
Surprisingly, not necessarily! Let’s look into some new skin information today as well!

This time, we’ll be looking at dry skin during the rainy season.
It may seem awkward to put those words together in one sentence!
But there’s a reason we’re covering it, so please read on~!

Why does skin get dry during the rainy season?
Even in humid summer weather, skin can become dry due to
several complex factors.
Frequent cleansing, air conditioner use, UV exposure, and skin aging are
major causes, as they promote moisture loss from the skin and
weaken the skin barrier, leading to dryness.
Of course, it is not as dry as in winter,
but this summer, with the humid rainy season continuing, there may be especially many questions about it.
Let’s take a look at the main causes and what to pay attention to,
together with Forena Clinic today!

Main causes
Frequent cleansing:
In summer, sweat and sebum production increase, so people wash more often,
but excessive cleansing can remove the skin’s natural moisturizing factors and lipid layer,
causing dryness.
Air conditioner use:
Air conditioner airflow quickly evaporates moisture from the skin, worsening dryness.
Skin aging:
As we age, the skin’s moisture content decreases,
and its natural moisturizing function weakens, making it easier for skin to become dry.

How to respond
Avoid excessive cleansing:
It is best to reduce the use of cleansers and gently wash your face with lukewarm water.
Control indoor humidity:
When using air conditioning, it is good to maintain an appropriate level of humidity,
and to use a humidifier to regulate indoor humidity.
Dermatology consultation:
If dryness is severe or another skin condition
is suspected, it is best to consult a specialist.
So, today we looked into something new again.
Actually, being in the rainy season but still having dry skin
is about me,,, so I’ve always been paying attention to it,
and I wanted to share what I know with the blog neighbors!
