Hello :)
Today, I’ve prepared a story related to impressions!
It looks like this topic will be split into two parts.
Let’s begin with the first part: a sharp impression!

Today’s concern is about impressions, one of the major worries many modern people have.
The first topic we’ll cover is a sharp impression.
This is often something people worry about when their appearance does not match their personality or situation, such as in interviews, certain occupations, or interpersonal relationships.

Then let’s slowly go through the topic of a sharp impression.

Features of a Sharp Impression
A sharp impression generally refers to a strong, sensitive feeling that is mainly perceived from the face.
If the eyes are sharp or slanted upward, or if the outer corners of the eyes are raised,
and also when the eyes are short horizontally and vertically, or when there is no visible double eyelid,
the face may also be perceived as having a sharp impression.
These features can give others a cold-looking impression.
Of course, depending on tastes such as a somewhat decadent aesthetic and other preferences, it can also be a favored look.
In this session and the next, I’ll slowly go through concerns about two opposite impressions!

Reasons Concerns Arise
Usually, when people ask about impressions or develop concerns about them, the issue often starts from the difference between personality and appearance.
For example, if there is a gap between one’s personality and outward appearance, causing difficulty in relationships or stress,
or if someone in a service job, sales, or
someone such as a volunteer, psychological counselor, or kindergarten teacher feels that a less sharp impression is needed for the job, but thinks their appearance looks sharp and cold,
they often look into many ways to solve it, from dermatology treatments to, in larger cases, surgery.

Main Areas That Have an Effect
Eyes:
The shape of the eyes, the angle of the outer corners, and the shape of the inner corners have the greatest impact on determining a sharp impression.
If the outer corners are raised or the inner corners are pointed, the face may look sharp.
Mouth:
If the corners of the mouth droop or the lips are thin, the face may also look sharp.
Expression:
A neutral or stiff expression can emphasize a sharp impression even more.
Posture:
Pushing the neck forward or hunching the shoulders can create a sharp impression.

Dermatology Procedures Related to Impression
- Botulinum toxin (Botox):
Frown lines, forehead lines, and eye-area wrinkles:
Botox temporarily suppresses muscle contraction and improves expression lines.
Square jaw improvement:
It softens a square jaw caused by developed jaw muscles and makes the facial contour appear softer.
Lifting the corners of the mouth:
It is also possible to perform a procedure that lifts the corners of the mouth by weakening the muscles that pull them downward, creating a softer impression.
- Filler:
Adding volume to sunken areas:
Injecting filler into sunken cheeks, forehead, under-eye areas, and similar areas adds volume and creates a more lively impression.
- Peeling procedures:
Improving skin texture and brightening the tone:
Peeling procedures such as milk peel help remove dead skin cells and improve skin tone, creating clearer and brighter skin.
Improving skin tone and glow:
Peeling procedures not only improve skin texture but can also create glowing skin through tone improvement.
The procedure information above is written as basic information.
It may not be suitable depending on each person’s skin condition and situation, so please be sure to consult with a medical professional before proceeding!

Closing the Post
Also, in some interview-related articles,
it is mentioned that a candidate’s impression is an important factor during interviews.
What people commonly call soft skills, and even impressions, have now become one of the important elements in this era.
A sharp impression may feel somewhat far from a positive image,
but it can be sufficiently improved through personal effort.
So if you have concerns, I hope you steadily look for and study the solution that suits you best and find the impression that fits you~!
I hope you approach it as a process of finding the #idealself you pursue rather than worrying about what others think!
I’ve shared a story that may be helpful for those worried about having a sharp impression.
