This is a time to talk about subcision-related topics without realizing it!
Forena Clinic

Today, for those of you who are deeply concerned about acne, this is the procedure you probably already know well.
The procedure precautions we’ll look at this time are for subcision!

What exactly is this procedure?

What is subcision?
It is one of the procedures used to treat acne scars, especially uneven, pitted scars (depressed scars)!
It refers to a procedure that cuts the fibrous tissue beneath the skin surface.
Pitted scars often occur because hard fibrous tissue under the skin pulls the area down,
and subcision uses a special needle to cut this fibrous tissue, helping the scar rise upward!
Usually, subcision is not performed on its own, and it is often used for scar treatment in combination with various procedures such as Fraxel laser and fillers.
Now, let’s look at when it may be a concern or who it is suitable for!

When considering subcision
01 For those who have broad, round acne scars
02 For those concerned about deep acne scars
03 For those whose depressed scar areas lack elasticity
04 For those concerned about deep wrinkles or stretch marks
05 It is not suitable for raised scars such as keloids or for shallow scars.
Please be aware that small or large side effects may occur depending on the individual,
and before receiving the procedure, be sure to consult with a professional medical team, fully understand the side effects and precautions, and then proceed.
After the procedure
01
It is best to avoid washing your face and wearing makeup for 24 hours after the procedure. Starting the next day, gently wash your face with lukewarm water,
and use a mild cleanser with minimal irritation.
02
For at least one week after the procedure, you should avoid hot environments such as intense exercise that causes heavy sweating, saunas, and jjimjilbang.
03
Touching or scratching the treated area may cause inflammation, so it must be avoided at all costs.
If there is a recommended recovery ointment, apply it consistently to help support skin recovery.
Please be aware that small or large side effects may occur depending on the individual,
and before receiving the procedure, be sure to consult with a professional medical team, fully understand the side effects and precautions, and then proceed.
