When I looked in the mirror,
I often felt complicated
emotions about how I had changed.
If people around you recently say
that you look tired or that your face
looks worn out, it means the signs of
aging have truly begun.
There are many factors that can cause
a face to look aged,
but the main reason was drooping eyelids.
In this article, I will talk about a way
to improve this: a brow lift.
No one can avoid the passage of time,
so it is necessary to accept it and
respond with a flexible and positive attitude.

The most important factor in determining
a person's impression was the eyes.
If the eyelids sag, you can look tired
or worn out, and you may even look older
than your actual age.
If this worsens, it can even cause
functional problems.
The field of vision above and below narrows,
causing discomfort and directly affecting safety.
As the skin loosens, the double-eyelid line
can become faint or disappear.
If you unconsciously strain your forehead or
the area between your eyebrows and develop
deep wrinkles in the upper face, a brow lift
may be worth considering.

Unlike many other anti-aging solutions,
a brow lift does not bring a dramatic change
to the eye shape itself.
Rather, it can preserve your original eye shape
while naturally improving sagging and restoring
the line.
By understanding the complex structure around
the eyes and taking a careful approach, it is
possible to reduce scar-related concerns while
overcoming the problem.
If you are worried that the line will become
too thick, like a sausage eye, or that your
expression will look harsh, this method may
be appropriate.
Because some of the sagging skin is removed,
the chance of recurrence is also relatively low.

Many people wanted to try the solution but
hesitated because they were worried it would
cost too much.
The amount charged varies widely depending on
the medical institution and each individual's
condition, because it differs based on the
clinician's skill, experience, and know-how,
the patient's current condition, the level of
difficulty, and each institution's system.
Medical staff with excellent skill and extensive
experience tended to charge higher fees.

The price also varied depending on the brow lift
procedure.
The cost differed depending on whether only the
skin layer was lifted, whether the fascia was
touched deeply, what materials were used, and
whether aftercare programs were available.
If skin removal was combined with fat removal or
other anti-aging solutions, the cost increased
further.
If you want a faster recovery, it is advisable to
use the aftercare program provided by the medical
institution.
It was necessary to check in advance whether the
quoted total included everything or whether there
would be additional charges.

If you overcame the burden of an incision, invested
a significant amount of money, and received the
procedure but were not satisfied with the result,
disappointment would naturally be great.
To prevent this, you needed to carefully check in
advance whether the procedure was suitable for you.
If the distance between the eyes and eyebrows is
narrow, rather than lifting from below, pulling up
from the forehead side can be the right approach.
There was a method of inserting threads into the
forehead and lifting, or of lifting after separating
the skin and fascia layer.
This method was more suitable if not only the eyelids
but also the eyebrows had sagged.

A brow lift was a solution recommended for people
whose distance between the eyes and eyebrows was
moderate or wide.
To briefly introduce the procedure, an incision was
made along the line below the eyebrow, part of the
skin was removed, and the muscle was lifted and
firmly fixed to the periosteum.
Because the tissue around the eyes was not touched,
it had the characteristic of not making the eye shape
look harsh or overly burdened.
Also, because it was fixed to a strong wall membrane,
the chance of recurrence was low.
As the sagging area improved, the hidden line was
restored and the overall impression became more lively.

For a stable procedure, you had to follow the
preparation instructions given by the medical
institution.
If you had a history of general anesthesia, an
underlying condition, or were taking medication,
you had to inform them in advance.
From one week before the procedure, you should avoid
alcohol and cigarettes and decide with the clinician
whether to stop any medications.
In particular, aspirin interferes with hemostasis, so
you had to follow the instructions carefully.
From 6 hours before, consuming anything, including
water, was prohibited.

The procedure took about 1 hour and was performed
under local anesthesia.
You could be discharged immediately without admission,
and the stitches were removed after 5 to 7 days,
during which 2 to 3 follow-up visits were needed.
The recovery period varied by person, but it was about
1 to 2 weeks.
For most lift procedures, swelling and bruising were
worst during the first 72 hours.
At that time, you needed to apply cold compresses
diligently to reduce heat and swelling.
From day 4, you could switch to warm compresses to
support tissue recovery.
It was better to avoid spicy and oily foods and mainly
consume easy-to-digest, light foods.

Even after a brow lift, you had to avoid smoking and
drinking for at least 4 weeks.
That was because cigarettes and alcohol reduce the
body's ability to recover and can cause inflammation.
Rubbing your eyes hard, tensing the area around the
eyes, or touching the wound with dirty hands was not
allowed.
Resting, and even sleeping in a slightly upright
position, helped reduce swelling.
If you walk lightly and receive the aftercare program
provided by the medical institution, recovery can be
faster.
I hope you carefully make your decision after
comprehensively considering the condition of your
eyes and the degree of aging progression, and after
making a systematic plan.
