Correcting protruding or broad side / 45-degree cheekbones to
create a softer facial line through cheekbone reduction surgery!
There are many different methods for cheekbone reduction surgery,
and the procedure should vary depending on the patient’s cheekbone size, shape, and development,
as well as the image the patient wants to achieve.
We introduce Note’s cheekbone surgery method, which is not limited to just one surgical technique
and is carried out in a thoroughly personalized way.

L Osteotomy
After making an L-shaped osteotomy in the bone,
the cheekbone size is reduced by removing bone,
and the remaining bone is fixed in place.
This is effective when the face itself looks large
because the cheekbones are broad even without much curvature.

Cheekbone Rotation Surgery
After making a trapezoid-shaped osteotomy in the bone,
the lower volume is reduced by removing bone,
and the remaining bone is rotated back into place and fixed.
This is effective when the cheekbones protrude more than the temples.

Posterior Movement Surgery (set back)
After an osteotomy, the bone is pushed back as much as desired
and fixed in place.
This is effective when the side cheekbones protrude a lot.
Case 1: When the side cheekbones protrude with a curved shape
Surgical method: Cheekbone Rotation Surgery
After removing the prominently protruding lower part of the cheekbone in a trapezoid shape,
it is rotated inward as much as possible and pushed back into place for fixation.

Case 2: When the curvature is not severe, but the face is wide from the sides
Surgical method: Cheekbone Rotation Surgery + Posterior Movement Surgery
After making a trapezoid-shaped osteotomy of the cheekbone, it is pushed inward as much as possible
and also slightly pushed backward before fixation.
