A. Even with double eyelid surgery alone, swelling may cause the eyes to close less fully for 2 to 3 weeks.

This is usually a temporary symptom and improves in most cases. However, dry eye syndrome and symptoms of incomplete eye closure caused by overcorrection from ptosis correction may require early correction, so it is best to consult with the surgeon as soon as possible and decide whether revision surgery is needed.
