These days, when patients come in for a consultation, they often ask first:
“Director, does my eye need fat removal?”

Today, we’ll look at cases of double eyelid surgery for puffy eyelids.
Q. What causes puffy eyelids?

When the eyelids appear bulging and puffy, the most commonly known reason is

having a lot of fat around the eye socket,
and in some cases, the fat, muscles, or other soft tissues such as connective tissue may be thick.

Lastly, some people may feel this way because their skin is naturally thick,
or because the distance between the eyes and eyebrows is relatively narrow.

When performing double eyelid surgery,
the surgical method also changes according to each person’s underlying cause.
