Hello, I’m Director Lee Bohyeong of Note Plastic Surgery.
Today, I’ll talk about some of the concerns people have after nose surgery.
Q. Inflammation

Compared with the early stage after surgery, once the implant has
adapted to my body to some extent and settled into place,

the chance of side effects drops significantly.
However, even so, contracture or inflammation are

not something that can be considered 100% safe over time.
Although rare, they can occur at any time, and

if the tip of the nose becomes red or you feel pain,
I recommend visiting the clinic where you had the surgery to have it checked.
Q. Implant removal

I also get asked a lot about implant removal.

Of course, removal is possible.
However, removing the implant does not

mean your nose will return exactly to its original shape, so
you need to think carefully.

After the implant is removed, an empty space is created,
and as the skin contracts by that amount,

the tip of the nose may appear more lifted,
which can affect the overall shape of the nose, and because the bridge becomes lower relative to the tip,

it may no longer be aesthetically satisfying.
Even so, if you really dislike the shape or

don’t want to live with the risk of side effects, removal is possible.
If there is no problem,

removal surgery is simple regardless of when the original surgery was performed.
If you do not want to use an implant,

autologous tissue such as autologous rib cartilage or buttock dermis
may also be used for the bridge of the nose.

Because this is a surgery that involves inserting an implant,
there are people who feel anxious because of issues that can arise even over time,

but since the condition is definitely more stable than in the early stage after surgery,

you do not need to worry too much.
If you feel even a little discomfort or

notice any unusual symptoms, please do not delay and
I strongly recommend seeing a specialist.
