Hello, I’m Director Lee Bo-hyung of Note Plastic Surgery.
Today, I’ll talk about the recovery period after plastic surgery for students.
Q. Recovery period

The question student patients ask most often when they come in is:
"I have to go to OT on this date in this month—will all the swelling be gone by then?",

"I also need to drink alcohol—will that be okay?" These are the kinds of questions they ask.
Because the timing is usually set more or less in advance,

many people choose their surgery date to fit that schedule.
If we answer with eye and nose surgery in mind,

it’s hard to set an exact timeline because the speed at which swelling goes down differs from patient to patient
and also varies depending on the surgical method.

Still, you can think of two months as the time when most of the major swelling has gone down.

We usually say that alcohol can be resumed after about 2 to 3 weeks,
and contact lens use or heavier makeup

can usually be done after about a month,
so I recommend leaving at least about a month of room before having surgery.
