Recommended Famous Place for Canthoplasty and Double Eyelid Eye Surgery in Nonhyeon: Why Note Plastic Surgery in Gangnam Does Canthoplasty, and What Are Lateral Canthoplasty and Lower Canthoplasty?

Hello, I’m Director Lee Bohyung of Note Plastic Surgery.
Today, I’ll talk about the reasons for canthoplasty, especially lateral canthoplasty and lower canthoplasty.
What are lateral canthoplasty and lower canthoplasty?

Next is lateral canthoplasty.
As everyone knows, this is a procedure that, unlike epicanthoplasty, opens the outer corner of the eye a little more toward the back
or downward.
Although these are two different procedures, most people undergo them for the same reasons,
so I’ll explain them together.

As shown in the photo, lateral and lower canthoplasty are recommended for people whose eye angle rises toward the outer corner compared with the inner corner,
or for those whose eyes are too short.

This procedure can be performed when there is enough length from the outer corner of the eye to the orbital bone,
and again, most people want it because they want to “make their eyes look bigger.”
It has a slightly greater effect on making the eyes look bigger than epicanthoplasty, but rather than that,
it would be more accurate to think of it as “changing the eye shape” or “changing the eye image.”
You can think of it as making a sharp, intense eye shape look a little softer
and more gentle.

If you look at this patient’s case, as I mentioned, the outer corner of the eye is
quite raised upward and seems relatively short compared with the front part.
In a case like this, when lateral canthoplasty is performed, as you can see,
the eye shape drops significantly and you can also see a greater sense of length at the outer side.
