Hello, this is Director Lee Bo-hyung of Note Plastic Surgery.
Today, I’d like to talk about combined breast and eye surgery, which many people are curious about.
What is the safest sleeping position after surgery?
If you have undergone breast and eye surgery together, during the early recovery period,
it is safest to lie on your back with your upper body raised at an angle of about 15 to 30 degrees.
Raising the upper body slightly helps keep the surgical area above the heart,
not only helping facial swelling go down more quickly,
but also reducing pressure on the breast area, which is very helpful for easing pain.
On the other hand, sleeping on your side or
on your stomach must be completely avoided.
If you lie on your side, the implant may shift to one side, causing the breast shape to become asymmetrical or the fixed position to move out of place. In addition, the eye area may rub against the pillow, increasing the risk of stitches coming loose or the wound opening.
Even if lying on your back feels somewhat uncomfortable,
it is better to maintain this position until one month after surgery,
when the implant has fully settled and the tissues around the eyes have stabilized.
To prevent your body from rolling over while you sleep, placing firm cushions along both sides of your body and under your knees can help you maintain the correct position more comfortably.

Note Plastic Surgery provides recovery care dedicated to combined procedures so that the breast’s three-dimensional volume and the eye’s precise line can settle in without disruption.
We also provide detailed guidance on everyday precautions to reduce pressure on breast implants when lying down and to lower tension in the skin around the eyes.
We thoroughly prevent irritation from even the smallest movement,
