Hello, I’m Director Lee Bo-hyung of Note Plastic Surgery.
Today, I’d like to talk about eye revision surgery, which many people are curious about.
Do you need to remove all of the fixation threads and adhesions from the previous surgery before operating again?
Existing threads and adhesions are not always completely removed;
the decision is made based on the new design and the condition of the eye tissue.
The key to eye revision surgery is to gently release the internal tissue that has become tangled from the previous surgery
(adhesion release), free the existing fixation points,
and recreate a new line at the desired position.
Therefore, if the existing fixation threads or adhesions interfere with the new design
or cause issues such as a double crease or so-called sausage eyes, they must be carefully removed.
However, if the previous fixation points have become very weak and do not interfere with the new line,
or if removing them too deeply could instead damage the surrounding normal tissue,
some parts may be left in place during surgery.
Rather than forcing everything to be removed, it is much better for recovery to
safely adjust only to the extent that it does no harm.
Ultimately, the success of eye revision surgery depends on how precisely the internal scar tissue is released and
how selectively only the necessary parts are refined,
so it is important to first understand the internal condition through a visual diagnosis and detailed consultation.

Note Plastic Surgery focuses on clearly identifying the cause of the first surgery’s failure
and gently organizing the tangled lines.
Rather than placing too much stress on the area around the eyes with excessive handling, we carefully remove only the elements that truly interfere
so that the new line does not look forced and can fold naturally.
Because we are dealing with a more complex condition than the first surgery, we carefully adjust even the movement of the eyelids
and the feeling when they close, reopening eyes that feel comfortable and natural,
as if they had always been your own.
