After surgery

It has already been 2 weeks since my revision rhinoplasty using autologous rib cartilage.
Until the gauze in my nose was removed, it was so hard, and I kept wondering when I would recover, but it’s already the second week ^_^
I really like the nose line..
It’s not too glamorous and not too natural either..! It’s exactly the line I wanted ᅲᅲ
Because of the protruding cartilage inside my nose, it looked like I had something stuck in my nose when seen from below,
and I was so stressed about it, but now it’s gone..
They definitely lifted the part where the tip looked pressed down as well!! I’m really, really satisfied.
I didn’t get any bruising after the surgery, and the swelling was very minimal!
I was surprised because there was no bruising or swelling to the point that it was really amazing.
The scar at the rib cartilage harvest site is also not large, so I’m satisfied.
It was a little uncomfortable, but it was bearable, so I went to work the very next day.. hehehe
Now that they made me a pretty nose, all I have to do is take good care of it hehe
I’m going to walk a lot and be careful with scar care!!!!!
This is a review of a revision rhinoplasty using autologous rib cartilage at Kowon Plastic Surgery by 'QuokkaPISwo'.
The patient who left this precious review on our Kowon Plastic Surgery blog had undergone nose surgery at another clinic 2 years ago using silicone + septal cartilage, and then, because they were dissatisfied with a drooping nasal tip, underwent a second surgery 1 year ago using septal cartilage to improve the drooping tip.
After that, there were signs of inflammation, so they continued treatment, but the feeling that the area near the alar rim looked pinched did not improve. In particular, at the area on the left side where there had been inflammation, there was a concern because the cartilage inside the nose seemed to be showing through.
They had an important event coming up and traveled from far away to have me perform the surgery.
Looking at the pre-revision photos attached below, the bridge is fairly high, but the nasal tip can be seen to be drooping. In particular, compared to the frontal or 45-degree views, when viewed from the side, the bridge is unusually high and the tip is lowered.

The patient also said that one of the most important things was that they hoped the nasal tip would not drop any further, so this time we decided to proceed with surgery using autologous rib cartilage.
Rib cartilage has the disadvantage that harvesting it can be quite difficult unless the surgeon is experienced, but compared with ear cartilage or septal cartilage, it has the advantage of remaining firmer and being less absorbed, so the height of the nasal tip tends to be maintained relatively well.
The procedure was performed as an open surgery, and because the existing silicone was too high, we decided to replace it with one measuring about 5 mm instead of 6.5 mm.

Also, for the pinched area, we harvested a small amount of ear cartilage to reinforce it and finished the surgery.
