Hello. I am Kim Hyung-taek, CEO of Kowon Plastic Surgery.
In this answer note, someone asked a question because they were worried that their nose had become crooked after nose surgery.
I am responding to that question.

Q. Postoperative Nose Surgery Care, Crooked Nose Shape After Nose Surgery
I am asking because I am curious about how to care for the nose after surgery.
Even before surgery, my face was tilted slightly to the right. My nose was also a little crooked, and my nostrils were different sizes.
When it was low, it was not noticeable, but after the implant was inserted, it became very obvious...ㅠㅠ
I am using a nasal dilator on only one side in an attempt to make the nostril sizes match, but when I raise or lower my head, the tip of the nose is shifted to the right.
Maybe because of that, the lines of the left and right sides of my nose are different....
As a way of postoperative nose surgery care, can massage—such as manual therapy, posture correction, or exercise—straighten it out?
Since an implant and cartilage have been inserted, would the effect be very limited?
It does not look very noticeable from the front, but when a photo is taken from above or when I lift my head, it becomes very noticeable..
If you look at the question, your nose was already crooked before, and after surgery
it seems that the fact that the nose became more crooked is now noticeable, which is causing a lot of concern.
In conclusion, to answer the question about postoperative nose surgery care that you asked,
it is difficult to correct nostril asymmetry or a crooked nose shape through posture correction or exercise.
If it is so noticeable that correction is needed, surgery is required to find the cause and fix it.
In most cases, the nasal septum is thought to be crooked.
I hope you have a good result from the surgery.
