Hello. I am Kim Hyung-taek, the representative director of Kowon Plastic Surgery.
In this answer note, a question was posted about concerns related to removing nose bridge silicone and revision nose surgery.
I’m here to answer that question.

Q. After removing a silicone implant from the bridge of the nose, can I have revision nose surgery?
The nose bridge surgery was done closed
According to the surgeon, there was no osteotomy of any kind to fix the silicone.
A 1 mm silicone implant was inserted and then removed.
It has now been 5 years since the nose bridge surgery, and there is currently nothing inserted.
Five years have passed, but for some reason it has not returned to its original appearance.
At best, I want to go back to my original appearance, or at least to how I looked when the silicone was inserted, so I’m wondering whether to have revision nose surgery again...
I still have the silicone that was used before, but it is broken.
If I have revision surgery with 1 mm silicone in a closed procedure, would the result be similar to how it turned out when I had the nose bridge surgery, even if it is not with the same doctor?
Also, would the results be different between surgery at a major university hospital and surgery in Gangnam?
The silicone insertion and removal were done in Gangnam.
Honestly, even when the silicone was inserted, I was not satisfied with how I looked at that time...ㅠㅠ What should I do?
If you look at the question, you had a 1 mm silicone implant inserted and then removed 5 years ago,
and since it has not returned to its original appearance, you are wondering whether to have revision nose surgery or not.
You want to return to your original appearance, before the nose bridge surgery,
but what you call the second-best option, silicone insertion, does not make sense.
If you inserted and removed 1 mm silicone in a closed procedure, there is almost no difference from the original appearance of your nose.
If you liked the appearance of your nose after the surgery, you can simply have silicone inserted again.
If you did not like how your nose looked after the surgery, I do not understand why you would want to insert silicone again.
If your original nose was better for you, it would be best to live without surgery.
