After surgery

After surgery

It has already been 6 months since my revision nose surgery. I’ll honestly talk about the 6-month changes and swelling,
my care routine, and the reactions from people around me.
Before my revision, my nose was very, very slender and flashy.
At that time, it had a really high bridge starting from between the eyebrows, so my midface looked longer.
So when I look back at the photos from 6 months ago, I feel like there’s a slight difference from how I look now.
Before surgery, I strongly emphasized to the doctor that I wanted the tip of my nose to be rounded.
The nose tip came out round and not pointed, just as I wanted, and it is still holding up well.
As the swelling almost completely went down, the nose shape became a little more defined.
Honestly, when you get a nose surgery, it feels a bit awkward if it looks too natural, almost like you didn’t have surgery at all.
But mine turned out to have just the right amount of an elegant look.
I’m very satisfied!
Oh, and even when I go to other plastic surgery clinics or makeup shops,
everyone says my nose is so pretty and asks where I had it done.
I was so excited that I ended up telling them all the information.
Since it’s been about 6 months, aside from the very, very slight swelling,
I think the nose shape is almost complete now...?
I wonder if that’s probably right...?
When I was in my early to mid-20s and knew nothing,
I absolutely liked faces with flashy features and dense facial features.
But now that I’ve aged a year at a time and entered my 30s,
I think moderately natural is the best.
I personally no longer like faces that look obviously surgically done...
I sincerely hope there will be no more revision surgeries and that this nose shape
will stay well maintained. I’m really, truly satisfied.
If I hadn’t had the revision surgery until now, I would still be stressed out by the cartilage showing through and protruding at the tip of my nose.
That would have been terrible..
If there are people who are stressed about nose shape, height, or visible cartilage,
I hope you will carefully consider revision surgery,
and I’ll end my 6-month review here!
Thank you for reading my 6-month review of nose revision surgery up to this point!
This is a review of ear cartilage nose revision surgery at Kowon Plastic Surgery by 'Bam Hobaekbak'.
Hello, this is Dr. Kim Hyung-taek from Kowon Plastic Surgery.
The patient I will introduce this time had previously undergone nose surgery about 2 to 3 years ago using ear cartilage with a septal implant.

At first glance, the nose line looks pretty good. However, in person, the bridge was too high and felt somewhat unnatural, and with the tip feeling sharp, there was also a slight impression that the silicone was showing through, so the patient felt it looked a little unnatural.

The patient also wanted the bridge height to be lowered a little so the overall appearance would look more natural.

Previously, a 4 mm silicone implant had been used.
Compared with the existing implant, we planned to slightly lower the area between the eyebrows and also lower the starting point a bit.

The procedure was performed as an open surgery, and the nose tip was improved using ear cartilage.

Additionally, because the patient was also concerned that the nose seemed to widen every time they smiled,
we also performed removal of the depressor septi nasi muscle to finish the surgery.
