After surgery

I was so self-conscious about my small, low nose compared to my large eyes that, after a lot of 고민, I had my first surgery at KOWON!
Since I was going to do it anyway, I wanted to make it as striking as possible for my face with a straight-to-upturned “straight-bow” 느낌. When I showed the doctor the nose I wanted and the nose I didn’t want during the consultation, the director explained the surgical method and other details so thoroughly to match my face that I felt really reassured :)
Because I wanted a dramatic nose, I ended up using my own rib cartilage even though it was my first surgery, and it really didn’t hurt at all. I also recovered quickly.
I’m the type who can’t even stand seeing blood and I’m extremely prone to exaggerating pain, but the director at KOWON is seriously gifted...
For reference, KOWON has only one lead director, Director Kim Hyungtaek, and I heard he has a very long career, which made me trust them even more.
Maybe that’s why the final result seems to suit my face so well, including the nose shape and height that matched my needsㅎㅎ
I really regret spending three whole years just worrying because I was afraid it would hurtㅠㅠㅠㅠ
Before the surgery, I looked completely childlike and young, but just with nose surgery
the image became so much more mature, and what is this effect of making the face look smaller...
Can you see how obvious the before-and-after difference is?! I’m 10,000% satisfied, seriously
ㅠㅠ
At first, everyone around me told me not to get nose surgery, but now they ask me which hospital it is and
say they want to go with me for a consultation. It’s so pretty that I’m actively recommending it to people around me too!!!!!
This is the review of a first-time rib cartilage nose surgery at KOWON Plastic Surgery by “Hatchochoping.”
Hello, this is Director Kim Hyungtaek of KOWON.
The case I’ll introduce today is of someone whose nose shape was not bad, but overall it was not very high and had a plain feel, and who wanted a somewhat more dramatic height overall.
A notable feature is that, from the side, the mouth appears slightly protruded.
Today, instead of nose surgery, I’d like to explain a little about the nasolabial angle.
Even when it is not actually a protruding mouth, the reason the mouth can look like it sticks out like this is the nasolabial angle, which is the angle connecting the columella and the lips. As you can see, when viewed from the side just below the nose, you can identify a recessed nasolabial angle.

In such cases, there is a procedure called cat surgery, in which silicone or another implant is inserted into the nasolabial angle to add volume.
However, because the area is directly below the mouth and moves a lot, the silicone may not stay fixed in place and can shift. There are also many cases where people feel discomfort due to a foreign-body sensation, and many cases where it looks unnatural when speaking or eating.
At KOWON Plastic Surgery, we correct the nasolabial angle at the same time using nose surgery alone, without inserting any implant at all.
Below are photos showing the nasolabial angle corrected after nose surgery. The overall impression of the face has changed much more, hasn’t it?
We finished the surgery by removing the somewhat unrefined and old-fashioned feeling and creating a much more feminine and softer look.
