It has already been 6 months since my revision nose surgery at Kowon, and I think even the last bit of swelling has completely gone down now.

When I look in the mirror, it looks so natural that I even forget I had surgery. It just looks like my own nose, but more naturally pretty, so I’m 10,000% satisfied...!

The reason it didn’t take long to decide on surgery after the consultation was that I felt so certain after talking with the doctor. The doctor has a really strong aesthetic sense.

The case I’ll introduce this time is a nose where the tip looks short and is tilted up too much, showing the nostrils.

In general, a nose that looks short at the tip can give a youthful impression.

However, if the tip is too short and the nostrils are visible, it can also give a somewhat unrefined and old-fashioned impression.

Perhaps after the initial nose surgery, the nose may not have been this short.

After nose surgery, the tip becoming shorter is quite common.

Sometimes the cartilage gets resorbed, or the tissue at the tip becomes firm and contracts, making it shorter.

This is commonly referred to as contracture nose.

In this patient's case, judging from the area around the alar side looking unnaturally pinched,

it seems both factors were present.

To prevent recurrence of these issues, we used autologous rib cartilage, which has less resorption, and for a more natural line, we lowered the glabella and slightly extended the nasal tip.

In addition, there was asymmetry of the nostrils, so we corrected the asymmetry and also performed alar lowering to correct the feeling of the nostrils being visible.

After surgery, the nose looks much more stable in length and more natural than before.

In particular, the columella area below the nose looked too tight, making it appear like an upturned pig nose, but by allowing it to come down more comfortably, the face looks much slimmer and more feminine, which completed the surgery.
