I had rhinoplasty, then developed inflammation for a week, so I ended up having silicone removal surgery.

It has now been about a month and a half since the silicone was removed.

It seems like the swelling has gone down a lot, but when I touch the tip of my nose, it feels extremely blunt and thick, like I’ve been stung by a bee..

I don’t really have any pain, but is this swelling, or is it scar tissue..? What could it be?

I went to a clinic because I wanted to get a scar tissue injection, but the director told me not to get one.

If this is scar tissue, is there a way to tell? How can I know?

Also, would applying a warm compress to the tip of my nose help?

Since I cannot see the current condition of your nose directly, please understand that it is difficult to give an exact answer.

Based on your post, since you had surgery and then developed inflammation, leading to silicone removal surgery, it is natural that the shape of the tip and bridge of your nose may change.

At about a month and a half after silicone removal surgery, the tip of the nose is in a phase where it becomes firm, and after about 3 months, it gradually softens.

Also, revision rhinoplasty is only possible after at least 6 months have passed since silicone removal.

For that reason, it seems best to avoid scar tissue removal injections and other procedures, and to take care not to put strain on the nose.

A warm compress is unlikely to have much effect in the current condition.
