Hello. I am Kim Hyeong-taek, the chief director of Kowon Plastic Surgery, who is sincere about rhinoplasty.
Today’s answer note is a question from someone who wants to remove the septal support and nasal silicone implant three years after nose surgery.

Q. I want to remove the septal support and nasal silicone implant..
It has been about three years since I had nose surgery.
If I remember correctly, I think silicone 3 to 4 mm was used,
and ear cartilage was used as a septal support at the tip of my nose.
The area between my eyebrows is always a little red and swollen, and I think it may be inflamed.
And because of the septal support, I can’t do the shape commonly called a pig nose, which is very uncomfortable..
Also, when I wear glasses, my nose hurts, so I can’t wear them for long periods.
On top of that, there is always a feeling of pressure..
Sometimes my nose hurts, and I think my head hurts along with it, so I’m really uncomfortable all the time and it’s hard.
So I want to remove the nasal silicone implant.
-
If I have the nasal silicone removal surgery, will my nose become much lower?
-
I want to go back to being able to do the pig nose, so I want to remove the septal support as well.
But I heard that removing the septal support makes the nose collapse. Is that true? If so, then shouldn’t it be removed?
-
If I am removing the septal support and nasal silicone, I feel that a university hospital or ENT clinic would be more trustworthy than a plastic surgery clinic. Can it be done there?
-
How much would it cost to remove the septal support and nasal silicone?
#코실리콘제거 #비중격지지대 #귀연골 #코보형물제거수술 #코원성형외과
If you are feeling discomfort in daily life and having a hard time, it would be better to have removal surgery.
- If I have the nasal silicone removal surgery, will my nose become much lower?
>>> It varies relatively, but it does not usually become that much lower. You can think of it as returning to the height your nose had before the surgery.
- I want to go back to being able to do the pig nose, so I want to remove the septal support as well.
But I heard that removing the septal support makes the nose collapse. Is that true? If so, then shouldn’t it be removed?
>>> In general, removing the septal support does not cause the nose to collapse.
- If I am removing the septal support and nasal silicone, I feel that a university hospital or ENT clinic would be more trustworthy than a plastic surgery clinic. Can it be done there?
>>> Because it is not a very difficult procedure, it should be fine to go wherever you want.
- How much would it cost to remove the septal support and nasal silicone?
>>> We cannot mention cost-related information online. For this part, please call or visit the place where you want to have the surgery and ask.
I hope you get good results. Thank you.
