Hello. I am Kim Hyung-taek, chief director of KOWON Plastic Surgery, where rhinoplasty is performed with honest and meticulous techniques.
Today, this is a question from someone who is considering rhinoplasty because they have a large-nose appearance as a man.

Q. Is rhinoplasty difficult for a man with a large nose?
Hello. I am currently a second-year high school student.
I want to get rhinoplasty right after the CSAT next year.
I am worried because I have a large-nose appearance.
When viewed from the side, my nose seems ordinary and there doesn’t seem to be any problem? If anything, the bridge seems quite high.
The problem is when viewed from the front..
My nostrils are not wide, but the tip of my nose is blunt, and the nasal bridge bone seems to spread outward to the sides.
I think it is a typical large-nose shape for a man...
Would it be possible to improve it later with tip surgery and reduction of the nasal bridge bone? Is there any way to reduce the nose even if it is not that method?
When I searched online, I read that in the case of a large nose in men, rhinoplasty is very complicated and difficult..
There is a method, right..?

A nose bone that is wide to the sides can be improved through osteotomy, which reduces the nasal bones.
And a blunt nose tip can also be addressed with surgery.
As you mentioned, there are limitations to surgery in the case of a large nose for men, but the areas you want to improve with nose surgery can be corrected surgically, so I think there is no need to worry too much.
Please do not worry too much.
I hope my answer was helpful.
I wish you good results.
Thank you.
