Hello. I am Kim Hyung-taek, the head doctor of Kowon Plastic Surgery, where confident and refined beauty blossoms.
Today, I was asked a question about nose surgery packing after rhinoplasty: the hospital said they do not do nose surgery packing separately, and the person asked whether that would make a big difference in the results.

Q. Is it okay if I don’t get nose surgery packing?
I had rhinoplasty that corrected everything, including my nose bridge, nostrils, and tip.
From what I looked into, when people usually get rhinoplasty, it seems like gauze is packed inside the nose for nose surgery packing... (to the point that it makes breathing difficult..ㅎ)
But I did not get nose surgery packing. They only applied taping and a splint, and the hospital that performed my surgery said they do not do it..
If I am careful, there should not be a major problem with the results even without nose surgery packing, right..?

There are many hospitals that do not perform nose surgery packing.
In cases where packing is done inside the nose, it is usually performed after osteotomy or for hemostasis inside the nose.
You do not need to worry, as packing is not always done just because you had rhinoplasty.
I hope my answer was helpful.
I wish you a good outcome.
