Hello. I am Kim Hyung-taek, the chief director of Kowon Plastic Surgery Clinic, and I always do my best to deliver satisfying results.
Today, someone who developed tooth pain after nose surgery said they even took Tylenol, but the rhinoplasty pain was so severe that they were worried it might be a side effect and asked a question.

Q. Tooth pain after nose surgery — is it a side effect or pain after rhinoplasty?
I recently had nose surgery.
But there is no particular pain in my nose or ears, and after nose surgery, my teeth hurt so much it feels like they might be pulled out... ㅜㅜ
I was in so much pain that I took Tylenol on my own for two days in addition to the medicine prescribed by the hospital because of the rhinoplasty pain.
Today is the fourth day, and when I look at my teeth, it somehow feels like the spaces between my teeth have opened up, as if I had scaling.
The hospital says tooth pain can happen.
But I’m asking because I feel like it shouldn’t hurt this badly if it were just ordinary tooth pain...
What kind of surgical method causes tooth pain after nose surgery? ㅜㅜㅜ

Sometimes tooth pain occurs after nose surgery.
In general, it is normal for the rhinoplasty pain to go away as time passes.
If it hurts as though a tooth is being pulled out and you feel like there is something wrong with your teeth, you should check with the hospital where you had the surgery to see whether it is temporary tooth pain after nose surgery or a side effect.
Or, there is also the possibility that tooth pain developed independently of the nose surgery.
I hope this consultation answer was helpful.
I wish you good results.
Thank you.
