Hello. I am Kim Hyeong-taek, CEO of Kowon Plastic Surgery, who establishes the hidden structure of the face.
Today, you said you asked because you were worried after blowing your nose due to nasal congestion after nose surgery and something foreign came out of your nose.

Q. After nose surgery, I had nasal congestion and blew my nose, and something foreign came out of my nose
It has been 5 days since the surgery, and the nasal congestion after nose surgery was so severe that it was hard to breathe.
So I really just made a slight sniffling sound and put some force into my nose, and something foreign came out instead of mucus.
I am very worried that I may have done something wrong and caused the foreign material to come out.
However, after the foreign material came out, the nasal congestion after surgery eased, and it became much easier to breathe.
Please give me an answer.

I do not know exactly what the foreign material was.
If it was gauze or another device that had been placed inside the nose to block it, then there is no particular problem.
Please do not worry too much, and visit the hospital where you had the surgery for a checkup. Explain that while blowing your nose because of nasal congestion after nose surgery, a foreign material came out, and have the inside of your nose examined.
It does not appear to be something that would cause a major problem.
I hope you have a good result.
I hope the consultation answer was helpful.
Thank you.

He was a male patient with a bulbous nose.
Because he preferred a straight nose line, the thick nasal wings were improved with reduction surgery.

This is also a case in which alar reduction was performed.
After surgery, when viewed from the front, you can see that the low, broad bulbous nose changed into a sharp, narrower nose.

This is a case of a person with a deviated septum.
Although it was not very noticeable, the nose was bent to one side.
From the side, the nasal tip was short.
After deviated septum surgery, they were able to have a straight nose line without deviation.
