Today, I’d like to introduce a case of non-incisional nostril reduction in male eye and nose surgery for a patient who wanted pig-nose surgery.

This patient had been teased with the nickname “pig nose” since school days and came to the clinic to overcome that complex.

After examination, the nose seen from the front was very low, and it had the typical bulbous shape with a wide spread to the sides.

The photo above shows the preoperative appearance, and we checked the nose from various angles, including the front, bottom, and side views.

Overall, the skin was thick and the nostrils were spread wide, and because the bridge between the eyes was low, the bridge appeared even lower.

As a result, the overall impression felt plain and unremarkable.

Looking at the before-and-after photos from the bottom view, you can see that the large, blunt nostrils were corrected, the bridge was refined, and the overall impression changed to something more striking and masculine.

During surgery, a 4 mm silicone implant was used to add height, and the ear cartilage and septal cartilage were also reinforced.

We also refined the dorsal hump in the center of the bridge and removed the depressor muscle of the nasal tip.

As a result, the changes before and after surgery became distinct, and the patient was very satisfied.

From the bottom view, the shape of the nostrils has been refined and the lifted tip stands out.

We performed tip cartilage suturing and non-incisional nostril reduction together, and contrary to concerns about scarring, the patient is recovering cleanly after surgery.
