Hello. I’m Dr. Kim Hyung-taek, director of Kowon Plastic Surgery, where we place importance on the three-dimensional look of the nose line and facial features. Among male patients, there are many cases where the face seems flat not so much because of the nose itself, but because of a lack of three-dimensionality in the T-zone, such as the forehead, brow bone, glabella, and bridge of the nose.
Today, based on an actual inquiry, I’ll talk about an approach to T-zone nose surgery that creates a more masculine image.

Q.
I am considering cosmetic surgery for the so-called T-zone, meaning the area from the forehead to the brow bone, the bridge of the nose between the eyes, and the nose itself. My nose itself is not especially low, but the bridge between my eyes is almost nonexistent, and the forehead and brow bone also lack definition, so overall my face seems to have a weak masculine impression. Because of that, even when I look at myself, I don’t feel I have a handsome impression, which worries me.
I want to enhance the three-dimensional look as naturally as possible without being excessive, and I’m wondering how much male nose surgery can actually improve things. The ideal look I have in mind is a masculine impression with a clearly defined bridge of the nose line between the brow bone and the eyes, even from the side. I would also like to know how much change is possible before and after male nose surgery.

Hello. This is Kim Hyung-taek, a consultant on HiDoc-Naver Knowledge iN.
If you are concerned about a lack of volume in the bridge of the nose between the eyes, that is, the glabella area, it can be approached by adding support only to that area. A relatively simple method is to supplement the glabella bridge using nose filler, which is also a low-burden option for checking the changes before and after male nose surgery.
If you want to improve the overall three-dimensionality of the nose as well, male nose surgery using silicone along the bridge line can also help. In this case, you can expect before-and-after changes that emphasize a masculine impression, with a more defined bridge line not only from the front but also from the side.
Also, if the forehead or brow bone lacks volume, three-dimensionality can be added to those areas with fat grafting or fillers, and depending on facial structure and skin condition, an appropriate method is selected during male nose surgery. The exact surgical scope and whether it is possible should consider the current heights and harmony of the forehead, brow bone, and bridge of the nose together, so it is best to visit in person for a consultation.
Through this, you can plan for a more natural and harmonious before-and-after result from male nose surgery. I wish you good results.

Hello. I’m Kim Hyung-taek, the chief director of Kowon, who focuses on male bridge-of-the-nose surgery. Today, I’d like to introduce the case of someone who had long struggled with a severe male hump nose.
This was a case of someone who felt stressed by the curve of the nasal bridge and carefully considered male bridge-of-the-nose surgery. From here, I’ll explain the process with photos.
This image was used with the model’s consent.
For a more accurate assessment, photos were taken from multiple angles.
From the front, the significant curve of the nasal bridge is clearly visible, and in severe cases like this male hump nose, the appearance burden can be large, which can also increase one’s sense of complex.

With this type of shape, simple correction may look temporarily better, but there is also the possibility that the deformity will appear again over time.
In particular, if male bridge-of-the-nose surgery is performed on its own, durability may be reduced, so it is important to closely monitor the postoperative course and to create a plan that considers the overall structure.

In the side photo, you can see that the tip of the nose looked lower, and this was improved by tying the nasal tip cartilage. As a result, the previously stuffy-looking impression was refined, and the depressed glabella caused by the severe male hump nose was improved, creating a clearer and more balanced image. The bridge line was also straightened, emphasizing a more masculine impression.

A front comparison makes the difference before and after correction even clearer. Before, there was concern that the curved nasal bridge would be the first thing people noticed, but after male bridge-of-the-nose surgery, the result had a stable line, which led to high satisfaction.
The shape of the nasal tip and nostrils was also refined, making the overall facial impression much cleaner.

From a 45-degree angle, the change is even more distinct. The prominent male hump on the bridge was gently smoothed to create a clean yet masculine line, and the widened nose width was also refined, changing the look to a more sophisticated impression.
The cartilage prepared in advance was used to reinforce the glabella area, adding natural three-dimensionality.

In the original appearance, the tip cartilage was spread widely apart. In such cases, it can be improved sufficiently through nasal tip cartilage tying, and in fact the nasal tip was corrected into a narrower and tidier shape.
In addition, the tip height was enhanced using septal cartilage, improving the overall finish. Male bridge-of-the-nose surgery can produce a more stable result when performed together with nasal tip correction like this.

In the final side photo, the bridge of the nose itself was high, but the glabella was low, leaving a lack of harmony. Cartilage reinforcement was used to create a smooth and soft line, and the nasal tip height was also adjusted to a natural range.
So far, we have looked at a case of male bridge-of-the-nose surgery that improved a severe male hump nose. I hope this is helpful for those with similar concerns.
