When you first start thinking about rhinoplasty, there are many questions about the surgical method, the results, and safety.
In this post, we will look into rhinoplasty and nose surgery in Seoul, and briefly organize the key points around questions that many people often ask.

Q.
I’m considering rhinoplasty. If silicone is placed inside the nose, I’m wondering whether it needs to be replaced after 10 years or more. I’d also like to know whether the surgery is done under anesthesia and whether there is pain even with anesthesia. I want to reduce the amount of nose tissue, so I’m also wondering what kind of rhinoplasty I should have.
If I want to change my nose to look like Suzy’s nose shape, I’d also like to know whether I can ask for that during the consultation. And I’m curious whether you suggest a natural nose that suits my facial image. While looking into rhinoplasty and nose surgery in Seoul, I also considered nose fillers, but I’m worried after seeing cases of blindness from fillers. What nerves are inside the nose, and are there many side effects after rhinoplasty?

A.
Using silicone inside the nose does not mean it must definitely be replaced after 10 years. If there are no particular problems after rhinoplasty, it can remain in place, so you do not need to worry too much about this. The surgery is usually performed under sedation anesthesia, and you do not feel pain during the operation. The same approach is often used for nose surgery in Seoul as well.
If you want to reduce nose tissue, rhinoplasty may involve organizing the soft tissue around the tip of the nose and bringing the cartilage together. This can help make the nasal tip look more refined. If you want a specific celebrity nose shape like Suzy’s, you can show it as a reference photo, but it will not be reproduced exactly, and the result may vary depending on the overall proportions and harmony of the face. Therefore, during a consultation for nose surgery in Seoul, it is important to plan rhinoplasty in a natural direction that suits your facial image.
In the case of nose fillers, while they have the advantage of being simple, serious side effect cases have been reported rarely, so careful consideration is needed. Because the nose contains various blood vessels and nerve structures, rhinoplasty also has the possibility of side effects such as inflammation, bruising, asymmetry, and scarring. Before deciding on nose surgery in Seoul, it is necessary to fully understand these points and confirm them through consultation.
I hope you have a good result.

Hello, this is Kwon One Plastic Surgery, where we perform surgeries tailored to various nose types. Today, I’d like to introduce a bridge augmentation case for an older female patient.
I hope this content will be helpful for those planning a change in appearance and an improvement in their impression.

For comparison, let’s look at the before-and-after results of the bridge augmentation surgery. This case had no previous nose surgery experience and had a short nose with an upturned tip.
A short nasal tip and a low bridge can make the face look somewhat less defined, and many people especially feel that it looks awkward in side-profile photos.

The photos were taken from the front, bottom, and side. From the front, nostril exposure was relatively noticeable, and the alae spread outward, giving an overall blunt impression.
In addition, the bridge was low and the nose showed an uneven shape, so improvement was needed. Because there was not enough septal cartilage, ear cartilage was used to perform bridge augmentation and tip reinforcement together.

These are the before-and-after results of non-incisional alar reduction viewed from the side. The impression, which previously looked somewhat flat because the bridge was low, gained natural dimension after bridge augmentation, and the overall facial outline became more defined.
Because the patient did not want drastic changes, the uneven nasal surface was smoothed out and a 3 mm silicone implant was used to design a height that would not feel excessive.

Alar reduction surgery was performed at the same time to tidy up the widely spread alae. Since it was done with a non-incisional method, scars are hardly visible from the outside, and it has the advantage of reducing concern about scarring.
Taking these points into account, the surgery was planned with the goal of achieving a natural shape and harmonious balance.

If you compare the before-and-after results of bridge augmentation, the overall width of the nose seen from the front became narrower than before surgery, and the height and volume were naturally enhanced through bridge augmentation. As a result, a soft and feminine impression was achieved.

The change is also clearly visible from the side. Unlike the previous uneven nasal surface, the bridge and tip now form a smooth and stable curve.
Today, we looked at a case in which bridge augmentation and alar reduction were performed together. With a design that considers each person’s structure and desired image, natural and harmonious changes can be expected.
