The patient who visited us was concerned about a bulbous nose with a widely spread nasal tip. Since the bridge of the nose and the glabella were also low, the nasal line appeared to begin abruptly from the middle of the nose.

For this type of case, simply raising the bridge of the nose with low nose surgery does not solve the issue.

The key is creating a natural flow from the glabella to the tip of the nose.

To refine the previously wide-looking nasal tip, we removed some soft tissue and combined cartilage repositioning with cartilage suturing to create a slimmer, more defined shape.

We also reinforced the structure by securely placing a support strut for the nasal tip cartilage, helping the attractive shape remain stable over time.

In fact, when the glabella is particularly low in low nose surgery, how the starting point is refined is extremely important.

When only a standard silicone implant is used, the transition with the glabella can easily look awkward and disconnected.

That is why at Kowon Plastic Surgery, we create a natural nasal bridge line by filling the glabella area with fine cartilage particles or using customized implants designed to suit each patient’s skeletal structure.

Customized implants can be made from silicone or autologous cartilage to match the height of the glabella. This allows the line to fall much more smoothly and stably without looking disconnected during low nose surgery.

By completing the nose so that it flowed naturally as one continuous line from the glabella to the tip, the previously disconnected appearance disappeared, resulting in a much softer and more refined impression.
