A person who visited me recently had a noticeably protruding area in the middle of the nasal bridge, while the tip also drooped downward, making the nose look long overall.

They were particularly concerned that the long, pointed contours made their appearance look somewhat dark and severe.

In situations like this, where hump nose correction is needed, the overall impression can easily appear somewhat coarse.

To improve this type of nose and create a more feminine yet dimensional appearance, simply shaving down the protruding bone is not enough.

Along with refining the nasal bridge, the position and angle of the tip must be properly adjusted so that the overall length and proportions of the nose come together attractively.

First, I smoothly refined the uneven, raised hump area to tidy up the nasal bridge line, then adjusted it to a natural height that suited the proportions of the entire face.

The downward-drooping tip was then slightly raised through cartilage repositioning and reshaping.

When hump nose correction is performed to refine protruding bone, the supporting strength of the nasal tip is often weak, which can cause the tip to droop downward. As time passes after surgery, there is therefore a risk that the tip may droop again.

Therefore, for successful hump nose correction, it is important to carefully reinforce the internal structure by placing a firm supporting post between the tip cartilages, so that an attractive shape can be maintained steadily over time.

Once the structure was corrected in this way, the nose that had looked long appeared more attractively shortened, and the line flowing from the nasal bridge to the tip became much smoother. The eyes and overall impression, which had appeared severe, also became noticeably softer.

When designing a woman’s nose in particular, the key is not simply to create a perfectly straight line, but to add a slight sense of dimension to the line extending from the nasal bridge to the tip.

This creates a refined, detailed appearance without looking excessively noticeable.

In this case, the nasal bridge already had sufficient height, so the procedure was performed using an implant-free method that utilized only the patient’s own cartilage and tissue, without artificial implants.

The line was also refined so that a sophisticated and attractive impression emerged within a range that harmonized with the original features, without making the nose excessively high or emphasized.

As can also be seen from the cases, immediately after surgery, the nasal bridge from which the hump had been removed and the newly shaped tip connect smoothly without any uneven step.

Along with refining the smooth line of the nasal bridge, a supporting post was created for the tip using the patient’s own cartilage from inside the nose, while cartilage repositioning and cartilage reshaping were performed at the same time. As a result, even while swelling remained immediately after surgery, the formerly drooping tip could be seen raised to an attractive angle without sagging.
