For cases like this, rather than correcting only the nasal tip, it is important to consider the tip’s direction, the nose’s overall length, and the line extending from the forehead in order to achieve overall balance.

In particular, among people who want a glamorous yet natural-looking nose, those with a thin, flat face and little volume may find that even a beautifully elevated nose looks disconnected from the face and unnatural. The more glamorous and natural the nose design, the more important it is for the forehead volume and the nasolabial angle line to have overall dimension so that everything blends naturally.

In this surgery, we used nasal tip cartilage repositioning and cartilage suturing to stably lower the previously upturned direction. We also placed a firm support between the nasal tip cartilages to provide strong structural support and help prevent the tip from drooping again in the future.

As a result, the exposure of the nostrils was naturally reduced, while the overall impression was refined to appear more approachable.

We also performed columella correction and nasolabial angle correction so that the line from the nasal bridge to the tip and down toward the philtrum would flow smoothly. Particular care was taken to create a much softer and more polished appearance in profile.

By performing forehead fat grafting at the same time, we filled in the forehead’s somewhat insufficient volume. This created a natural height without having to raise the nasal bridge excessively. As a result, the glamorous yet natural nose design blended harmoniously with the face, as though it had always been the patient’s own nose.

Rather than simply changing the shape of the nose, the procedure created a change that brought out the contours and dimension of the entire face.

For this patient as well, we carefully adjusted the balance of the entire face so that the soft, polished appeal of a natural yet glamorous nose could be fully expressed without looking excessive, and the surgery was completed successfully.

The subject of this case had a short, upturned nose tip, with the nostrils relatively exposed when viewed from the front. The entire nasal bridge was also low, giving the face a generally plain and flat impression.
