Shock Wave Regeneration Lifting with a New Concept: "Repton"

Today, I’d like to talk about shock wave lasers, which I have been interested in for several years now~

Some of you may still be unfamiliar with shock waves in the field of aesthetic dermatology.

It has actually been quite a long time since shock wave lasers were introduced into the aesthetic dermatology field in Korea.

There were lasers such as Levinas for skin aesthetics and various radial shock wave lasers used in the obesity field,

but as lifting devices based on thermal energy, led by Ulthera and Thermage, became the trend, shock wave devices were used more as auxiliary tools rather than the main treatment, and their frequency of use gradually decreased.

About 8 years ago, I began to take an interest in shock waves while searching for papers on cellulite,

Did you know that as the face also goes through the aging process, cellulite and adhesions can develop?

This is the point where shock waves can be actively utilized in the aesthetic dermatology field.

So, Dr. O Clinic has finally introduced a shock wave laser called ‘Repton’~!!

As explained above, Repton is a skin lifting device that uses high-intensity ultrasound-based shock wave technology.

A shock wave is a mechanical wave that delivers pressure energy higher than air to tissue in a short amount of time,

and it can deliver energy deeply into the dermis and subcutaneous tissue (deep fascia) without damaging the skin surface.

By delivering energy in part in a focused form and in part in a radial form,

it provides anti-inflammatory effects to the affected area, regenerates cells, and at the same time activates blood flow and lymph circulation.

It treats the skin healthily from within, helping create firm and radiant skin.

To explain it a little more simply and figuratively,

Repton shakes the cells and applies shock,

increases the tension of the deep fascia and soft tissue,

improves overall sagging,

and helps restore skin elasticity.

In addition, areas around the mouth that were difficult to treat cautiously with HIFU devices such as Ulthera and Shurink can be improved safely with Repton, so it can create a synergistic effect when used together with HIFU devices.

The treatment time is about 5 to 10 minutes depending on the number of shots and the treatment purpose,

and the maximum effect can be seen from about 2 weeks after the procedure.

Immediately after treatment, you may feel a reduction in swelling (edema), a slight lift in the midface, and a change in the double chin line, so I strongly recommend it for middle-aged women over 40, like myself~!

There is no pain.

There is no downtime that makes it obvious you had a procedure.

So for people who have an important schedule tomorrow, and for office workers who can spare a little time during lunch break, this is a treatment I can very, very strongly recommend.

I’m sharing the results of performing Repton lifting on my own face, 8,000 shots per session at 2-day intervals for 1 week, for a total of 3 sessions~
