Today, along with a real patient case who received fae ear filler, let’s learn more about fae ear filler.

When you tie your hair up or sweep it behind your ears, does your face somehow look bigger or puffy?

If your ears are lying back, your face may appear relatively larger, so to improve reclined ears, you could stick stickers behind the ears, or through facial contouring, eye surgery, fat grafting, and so on, you could make the face look smaller.

But there is an easy way to make the midface look smaller with just the ears alone.

That is the fae ear filler procedure.

Wrinkles on the earlobe

Ear filler has been a procedure performed quite often since a long time ago.

Especially from the 30s or 40s onward, as people age, wrinkles begin to form due to decreased elasticity in the earlobe and facial fat, and the ears themselves can suddenly be pushed backward.

At that time, the start of earlobe filler was to resolve wrinkles that form on the earlobe, and when filler is injected into the earlobe or the surrounding area, the volume effect makes the entire ear project toward the front of the face.

When the ears are small or laid back, attention tends to gather on the face, but if you give the ears more dimension with fae ear filler, the ears themselves draw the eye and disperse attention, creating the effect of making the face look smaller.

Fae ear filler is broadly divided into two areas: the lobule and the helix.

To create a fuller-looking ear shape and to raise laid-back ears, filler is injected into the back of the ear to push it outward.

Because every patient’s ear shape is different, and the ear is a special area with a curved structure, the procedure can only be delicate and demanding depending on the shape.

Ear vascular structure

This is the vascular structure of the ear.

The outer part of the ear has densely packed, small blood vessels intertwined like a net, and in such cases, even if some blood vessels are blocked, blood can still be supplied smoothly through other vessels, so the risk of necrosis and similar complications is low.

But just because the risk is low, does not mean it should be overused regardless of the amount!!!!!!!

Since fae ear is still a filler, you must recognize that there can be pain, redness, swelling, and, in severe cases, risks such as necrosis.

Personally, when injecting ear filler, I think the important precaution is not to be too greedy.

If you try to correct the ear in one go and become too ambitious with the procedure, it is difficult to achieve the desired shape, and due to overcorrection, you may end up in a situation where the filler has to be dissolved.

So if you want a natural result, even if it is a little insufficient, I recommend supplementing it with a retouch.
