Rather than approaching under-eye dimple surgery as simply removing fullness under the eyes because it looks bulging and adding volume because there is no dimple, I want to emphasize that, when we consider facial impression and anatomical balance, these two are very closely related!!!

Why do you think the under-eye area looks bulging?

First, it happens because the fat under the eyes is pushed forward, creating a protruding structure!!!

This forward displacement of under-eye fat occurs because the tissue that supports the fat (the septum) has weakened, allowing it to shift forward.

That is why the procedure that can be performed at this time is under-eye dimple surgery.

Surprisingly, many people say,

“I thought if I just cleaned up the under-eye area, my impression would improve.”

But the eye shape we ideally think of is one without a shadow under the eyes but with a 살아있는 dimpled line.

Let me explain by looking at an actual patient case.

This patient was a woman in her late 20s, and to the naked eye she had pronounced under-eye fat bulging and severe dark circles.

The patient also wanted a definite improvement in the under-eye area, so the surgical plan involved under-eye fat repositioning to reposition the fat that had shifted downward, while preserving the original dimpled under-eye line and delicately filling in deficient and sunken areas with her own fat.^^

After one week, there is still a lot of swelling overall, but the dimpled under-eye area is showing more clearly than before.^^

In particular, the bruising appears mostly yellowish overall, so it seems likely to recover quickly as time passes.

At this stage, swelling and bruising are progressing at the same time, making it the most sensitive period, so please don’t worry too much about how it looks now, and wait for the recovery process.^^

At the one-month mark, the transplanted fat is in the process of settling.

The patient’s dimpled under-eye area and under-eye swelling have reduced a lot, and the dimpled line has settled naturally.^^

If you look at the under-eye area, the bulging that was present before surgery is gone, and the under-eye area looks smoother, making the overall impression appear brighter.

I remember the patient being very satisfied and happy because she no longer needed concealer or filters.^^

Now, under-eye dimple surgery should be approached not as simple removal or filling, but as a concept of three-dimensional structural design!!!!

If, after under-eye dimple surgery, you feel that something is lacking, the reason may be an insufficient dimpled under-eye line.
