1-Year Review of Cheekbone Reduction: Real Changes Revealed from the Front and at Angled Views!

So today, I’d like to share the case of a patient who actually underwent cheekbone reduction surgery^^

Before surgery, this patient’s cheekbones appeared to spread widely to both sides from the front, and from a 45-degree angle, the front part of the cheekbones protruded, causing the center of the face to look broader... So this was a case that required a delicate approach. We determined that natural curves and a balanced volume were more important than simple reduction!!!

1 week after surgery, this is the period when swelling is still concentrated around the cheekbone area. Because the amount of bleeding during surgery was small, a yellowish bruise is temporarily visible. At this stage, controlling swelling is the key rather than changes in the face shape! ^^

2 months after surgery, as much of the swelling subsides, changes in the contour begin to become visible!! Especially from the 45-degree angled view, the cheekbone that had looked overly prominent in terms of dimensionality has been refined into a softer and more natural line^^

4 months after surgery, as the cheekbone volume stabilizes, can you see how the overall facial balance has become harmonious~? The connection between the side cheekbone and the front cheekbone is naturally linked, and the size of the overly prominent cheekbone area has been reduced, creating a more refined and softer impression. This is a stage where satisfaction increases from both the front and side views^^

12 months after surgery, as you can see in the photos above, this is the point where bone adhesion and soft tissue adaptation are complete, and the most natural result appears. It looks as if it were the patient’s original face shape, showing a natural and well-balanced contour without any obvious sign of surgery^^
