Please Share Your Story with 21 Plastic Surgery: The Second Story (Facelift/Double Chin)

Hello.

I’m Lee Won, the chief director of 21 Plastic Surgery^^

In the last post, I shared the stories of two patients,

and many more people empathized more deeply than I expected,

for which I was very grateful.

When I listen to patients’ stories in the clinic,

they often go beyond simple cosmetic concerns

and include real stories that have been kept in their hearts for a long time.

Each of those stories leaves a deep impression on me,

and becomes a force that moves my subconscious mindset back and forth.

Today, I’d like to briefly share the stories of two patients

who especially stand out in my memory.

Case 1. Facelift and Neck Lift

A woman in her early 50s visited us for a consultation

for a facelift and neck lift.

She held an important position at work

and had to meet many people,

but

for the past few years, her suddenly sagging neck line, lower cheek sagging,

and tired-looking appearance had been making her gradually lose confidence.

The most memorable thing she said during the consultation was this:

'I want to regain the face I had 10 years ago.

I don’t like looking like I’m not myself these days.'

At that moment, I felt moved as well,

and I made up my mind to help her regain not the face she had 10 years ago,

but the face in its prime from 21 years ago,

as much as possible through surgery at 21 Plastic Surgery.

The surgery consisted of

facelift + neck lift, and lower eyelid fat repositioning,

and she also followed the recovery process very faithfully after surgery.

When I saw her again,

I still remember that she visited with an especially bright expression^^ Case 2. Double Chin

Next is the story of a female patient in her early 30s.

She had a severe complex about her double chin..

She had tried procedures and surgery at another hospital,

but there was no improvement at all,

and she said she came to 21 Plastic Surgery

thinking this was her last try.

Even though she was slim, her sagging double chin made her look overweight and sluggish,

and she really wanted to improve that image.

She was a patient with a refined and pretty image,

and hearing her concerns made me feel that

if the double chin could truly be corrected,

she would look even prettier, so my motivation burned even stronger!!! ^^;

When I examined her, what she needed was

not simple 'adjustment,'

but a revision surgery plan to redesign the structure.

Only when these four procedures were done at the same time

could her double chin be improved.

Later, when the patient came back for a follow-up,

the patient smiled brightly and said,

'Director, thanks to you, my long-standing problem has been solved.

Thank you so much!'

Being able to ease someone’s long-standing complex

made me feel once again that

this is the reason I keep doing this work.

Every time I hear stories like these,

I feel as if I form some kind of 'shared connection' with each patient.

There are days when I consult and operate on dozens of patients in a rush,

but

when I have a little room to breathe

and hear these patients’ life stories,

it becomes nourishment for me, a source of strength,

and energy that makes me want to improve even more...^^

For those who come from far overseas,

those who arrive very tense and full of doubt,

those who come drawn in after watching YouTube,

these people hand me a small piece of rice cake, a traditional snack from their country,

and say, 'Please take care of me.'

Each and every one of those feelings,

the weight of that gratitude,

is never light to me.
