Three factors that determine the depth

The second is the point where the crease begins. The position that needs support differs depending on whether the crease becomes deep immediately beside the nose or gradually deepens as it descends toward the corners of the mouth.

The third is movement during facial expressions. If the crease is shallow at rest but folds deeply when smiling, muscle movement may be involved. Simply filling the crease itself can then make the area appear thick and raised only when making facial expressions.

Bruising or swelling may occur after the procedure and generally subsides over time. For about 2–3 weeks, it is advisable to avoid sleeping on your side or massaging the area so that the treatment site is not compressed.
