Hello, this is Cocoline Clinic in Apgujeong. Whether the weather gets cold or hot, it seems that patients with nasal conditions are always suffering. These days, most online consultation posts are about questions regarding functional surgery.
When you are considering nose surgery, you may suddenly get a headache and start worrying and thinking a lot :)
I would like to share a few tips about nose surgery through actual expense reimbursement (if you read to the end, it will really help you a lot.)
At Cocoline Clinic, more than 80% of our patients undergo both surgery for nasal conditions and nose surgery together. When performing functional surgery related to function, an experienced otolaryngology specialist is needed.
Kim Seon-gu, the chief director of Cocoline Clinic, is a veteran otolaryngology specialist who handled not only highly difficult nasal reconstruction but also various revision surgeries at Hana ENT Clinic, which is well known in Korea for otolaryngology, and ID Hospital, which was famous in Gangnam for nose surgery.
Because of this, it can be said that accurate diagnosis of the problem, firm correction, and improvement are possible through knowledge and skilled technique for clear functional and aesthetic improvement.
Before deciding on surgery, we need to find out why the nose is blocked :)

Deviated Septum
A deviated septum may sound difficult at first, but in fact it is not difficult at all.
Our nose has two nostrils :) The wall in the center of the nose is called the septum. When the septum supporting the nose does not extend straight but is curved like a bow, this condition is called a deviation. That is why it is called a deviated septum. Not hard, right?

When the septum is bent, the airflow is uneven, which narrows the passage inside the nose and obstructs breathing. It is also the most representative case of functional nose surgery.
In addition, hypertrophic rhinitis and nasal valve stenosis are also included among nasal conditions, and all of them can be corrected through surgery.
Can appearance and nasal function be corrected at the same time?
In fact, in the case of a deviated septum, many people live without recognizing it clearly. Even if breathing is somewhat uncomfortable, it is often difficult to tell whether it is due to a deviated septum or rhinitis. Moreover, when people think there is no problem with their nose and proceed with aesthetic rhinoplasty without considering the functional aspect, there is a possibility that the nose may gradually become bent again in the direction of the deviated septum after surgery. For this reason, combining functional surgery with cosmetic surgery has become common these days. In the long term, it may be a safer method for nasal health :)

In particular, if you are enrolled in actual expense insurance, functional surgery can also make you eligible for a certain amount of reimbursement, so it can be an opportunity to achieve two goals at once. If you have actual expense insurance, you can undergo functional nose surgery through reimbursement. It can be a very good way to improve nasal problems at a reasonable cost.
To find out accurately whether functional nose surgery is possible, you must check the following items.
-
Whether you are enrolled in actual expense insurance
-
The reimbursement rate of the insurance product you are enrolled in
-
The documents required for surgery by the insurance company you are enrolled with
-
Hospital reservation and in-person consultation (during this process, the documents from item 3 must be handed over to the hospital)
-
Surgery and treatment
-
Submission of documents to the insurance company
-
After the reimbursement process, you can receive the insurance payout.
Only surgery for the purpose of functional improvement is eligible for actual expense insurance benefits; cosmetic surgery is not.
Reimbursement conditions, required documents, and reimbursement rates may differ by insurance company, so be sure to check directly with your insurance company in advance!

In Apgujeong, where dozens of hospitals open and disappear every day, Cocoline Clinic has quietly focused on diagnosing, treating, and performing surgery for nose surgery alone in one place for more than 10 years. We can proudly say that we are a hospital chosen and trusted by countless people.
Nose surgery cannot focus only on being 'pretty.' That is why the rate of revision surgery and re-revision surgery is also relatively high. Therefore, even if it is done just once, it must be done safely and healthily.
If you are considering both the shape and the function of your nose, we recommend that you work with Cocoline Clinic, which puts the patient's health and safety first.
